  1. Don't think the triumph will have the sporty twist of the tracer and those exhausts just get in the way. Motor will be good though. and more gadgets on some models. That's why I sold the KTM..
  2. Welcome David, Start keeping an eye out for discount bikes and pounce when you see one. It'll keep til next spring. Some fantastic biking to be had in Wales. 👍
  3. Agree, The 900 triple is plenty of motor for the open road and an 80 mph corner is an 80 mph corner whatever bike you're on. 0 to 100 is very adequate. Big hp bikes will keep pulling hard well after that if that's what you want. Here in the UK, the open road doesn't compliment 140+ speeds. The track is the best place, if the straight bits are long enough. IMO, the Tracer 900 is a great choice for anyone after fun and excitement on a very practical multipurpose bike. 👍
  4. Welcome,. I'd just get a rad gaurd for now... then get some miles on it. 👍
  5. Tbh.. Triumph triples are what triumph got good at. I bought a TT 600 4 pot and it was one of the best bikes I've ever owned for fast sweeping corner confidence.. The problem was early fuel injection and mine had it issues. Later models improved but bike got dropped. There's just something about triples...👍
  6. Maybe cycling might be more appropriate. Ebikes are of interest to me, maybe make your own conversion. 🚴‍♂️
  7. A handsome bike indeed. 😀 Puig sports screen for summer and all sorted. 👍
  8. I'd like to see a dark gold/bronze on the grey bike with matching rim stickers perhaps. That's the beauty of this rubber stuff. Think the black will take some beating though. 🤔
  9. If I ever need to re-do, I will use satin/matt black paint. I liked the idea of peeling off if no likey. However, I like it so black it is. 👌
  10. Job done and very happy..🙂 Seems to match up better with the rest of front end. Messed up one panel so peel off and start again. You could change colour anytime if so desired. Tip, before installing leave overnight to harden properly. ☹
  11. Done L/h panel and imo much smarter. Balls up R/h so peeled off and try again tomorrow. Fitting indicator back and knocked it. Not gone hard .
  12. I have run mine, 18 tracer, in 1st gear on centre stand for easy lubing but was told by dealer it will throw a code. Seems i got away with it, but since dealer visit I will spin wheel by hand, no biggy. As said, only in gear issue.
  13. For me, the 900 Tracer is the class leader for mid weight sports touring and adventure. Agree, colours ain't the best, less contrast would be better, infact all in one colour scheme may be the way to go. Monday i went to the nec bike show in Birmingham. I came away happy in the fact, that there was nothing there that I would replace the T9 with. There are some exotic bikes about for those with the cash, rocket 3, CCM looked good, Nortons, but for a single bike owner wanting a ,"do it all" the tracer still comes out on top. Imo.
  14. Was up there in may, hot and sunny. Superb. 👍
  15. Very sad to hear this Wordy, that is a cherished bike, well sorted, so no rash decisions please. I very much enjoyed reading about your recent east coast jaunt, bringing back some great memories from 94 for me, a fantastic part of the world. I won't be getting a Bagster seat if this is what follows. Hope you keep in touch with the forum. Ps. Maybe this is what the 700 is for.?? 🤔
  16. Dazzlers suggestion sounds good to me, if you find it too much to live with. A few year's back, I had a Buell ulysses and at every stop it was one foot down and slide over a bit, I adapted and got used to it.
  17. Welcome Captain Vallo, Hope you enjoy her, I've got the male version, that's without the GT. 😀 Great "do it all" bikes, well capable of hooligan riding and trackdays and touring and poping to the shop's. Have fun. 👌
  18. Welcome Torquil, Is your seat in low position.?
  19. Ye, and fairly useless I reckon. Still get crap high up, reckon it's coming around sides.?? Rad gaurd is an absolute must. I've got Yamaha's and it looks good aswel as being a metal rad protector.
