It did get a bit silly on side panels so removed those. Reflects light aswel. Gonna leave on rims for now. Honest comments appreciated...No cotton wool here. 🤭

Hi from UK, Yes, the versys can leave you wanting for more, but a nice bike it is. The Tracer is of the same mold but with more punch as you say. Great choice. 👍

You need bf23 ring for tracer. It's raised to gives clearance .You can use it as an ashtray when no bag on. 😉

Totally agree with these personalizing idea's. Whilst on the subject, had my now black side panels off today, just to neaten up previous work. This time though, didn't bother removing indicators, so no need to remove inner cover. Mucho easio. Masked off round badge and indicator. Hang panel from garage roof using inner cover bolt holes and spray away. My edges and lower inside bit were not up to standard. 🙁 Still using matt black rubber spray. K2. If I was an overpaid sportsman I'd probably have one black and one gold. 😉

I wear the cheap yellow spongy ones, free from work. Throw away after a couple of good rides. Moulded ones will need cleaning, and folks don't, nobody likes ear infections. I've got Puig sports screen and love it in the summer, hold on and enjoy. Put stock on for winter, bit more protection.

Dealers might fit accessories for no labour charge on new bikes. Buy it. You can paint the white panels whatever colour you like. 👍

MY18/19 all have longer swingarm and slipper, not just GT.

Good work Dazzler, I'd steer clear of tank painting then, or be very careful when refuelling. Other panels should be fine though. 👍 PD could be used as colour match testing, and if happy with change, get it done proper.

Welcome, I'd lean towards 18/19 MY bikes. If the GT extras aren't mega important, you might get good deals on 18s that are still in showrooms and getting in the way. Great fun bikes they are.

I got some m8 eye bolts for when I need a strapping point, not very often. Yep, rear pegs off.

Welcome, Yamaha rad guard is good, bolt on, metal. Cheaper cable tie jobs work just as well though. tail tidy smartens up back end lots. Crackin bike. Enjoy.

As you say, you can peel off if you want. Leave a while then decide. I thought these rubber paints were ok with fuel etc..

My brother has the 800. Been a good reliable bike...but it ain't Tracer fun. 😀
