  1. No way, have a perfectly good old car to get salt on. I will get out hopefully a bit on Sunday, raining today and will help clean off all the muck a bit.
  2. Agree that I am not overall a fan of the latest RPHA 71, which is why I opted for the 70 Carbon instead "got it for a steal too". Hopefully my helmet lasts for years to come, and whatever changes HJC makes to the RPHA series going forward, they take critical feedback from consumers. It is interesting that some of the best deals on Shoei or Arai here stateside, can be had ordering from Europe.
  3. Wow that blows, my RPHA 70 carbon came with a pinlock insert........but they are not expensive, sucks you have to purchase separately but at least the visor is equipped for such. I don't think all Shoei and Arai come with Pinlock inserts either, but are also Pinlock ready?
  4. Helmet price isn't really about safety, it's mostly about fit/finish/comfort/weight and optical clarity of the visor. That is why I like the HJC RPHA series so much, you get a high-end helmet without quite the Shoei and Arai price tag.

Sleds might be even more fun to ride for me than motorcycles.......just don't get enough snow where I live to ever have or enjoy one. LOL
  6. Wow that is a helluva lot of money, I can upgrade my entire suspension for that.
  7. I am very much happy with the RS3's, think they are gonna be my go to tire for the time being.
  8. Give this a try..... Yamaha 39L Top Case | Yamaha Sports Plaza Yamaha 39L Top Case | CyclePartsNation
  9. Revzilla just looks to be out of stock, and the exact Yamaha case I ordered and received. Also.....the case is the same part# for the FJ-09 to the Tracer GT's, it is the rack differences in which how it mounts to the bike.
  10. Got my OEM rack and 39L case from Revzilla for Xmas, where did you order from? If they sell the mount, surely they must sell both the 39/50L cases?
  11. Why can't you be bothered to phuck around with the quick shifter? And I have news for ya.......you will have to adjust the linkage if you go with another set of pegs. I agree that the seat is the likely culprit, being pushed towards the tank puts alot of pressure on the taint and the twig/berries.
  12. I wouldn't install a K&N air filter in my motorcycle were it free, but they do filter quite well like the OEM once they are dirty......I will stick with the OEM as well, but of course to each their own.
  13. The RPHA 91 carbon will be added alongside my RPHA 70 carbon this year.
  14. Well done sir, and I admire the hell out of you for doing such!!!
  15. I had the option of a 6 speed manual for my car, but I've been there and done that a few times over the years and it SUCKS in heavy traffic or a jam......I'll happily shift my motorcycles however. Also.......DCT/DSG cars are quicker than the manual version, and they shift/act like a manual anyways, just alot faster and more efficient.
  16. Yup.....I am loving my new KIA Forte GT with the DCT 7 speed, also fun to shift with the paddles. That car is "just sporty enough" as it handles great and can run low 6 second 0-60 times consistently, with a tune it will pull easy mid 5's and the quarter at over 100. My buddy had an Africa Twin with the DCT and he said "it's a game changer, and Honda has perfected it".
  17. Busa's and ZX14's are well known for being modified up to be good sport touring machines, but always a compromise and a trade off for any bike.........and the rider. The new Wings feel and handle like a sport touring bike, truly a marvelous machine for long distance mile munching in comfort and fun.
  18. No worries there, as it most certainly isn't an ADV bike.
  19. Highly recommend not messing with any OEM wiring or disconnecting anything.
  20. The handling is so bad at that point, in particular for a front tire. The Michelin's I had on were not close to the belts, but the steering was so bad and had zero feel.......except for feeling like rocks. LOL
  21. Replacing the crush washer is wasting a perfectly good washer, I have owned many motorcycles in my life and have never replaced one, never stripped out a pan, and never had a drop of oil leak from the bolt. Yamaha has other incorrect/insane torque ratings in the manual, and using those ratings has caused a few issues for folks. Of course in saying that......do as you wish and good luck.
  22. I have mostly run Motul 7100 full synthetic since first change, and I found everything mechanical engine noise to be less with this oil, also the shifting is butter and stays that way clear up to the change. I will admit that Belray semi syn also shifted nice and had quiet engine mechanical noise as well, but I just like that blood red oil too much. LOL Perhaps the OP should do as he mentioned, swap out the oil for regular Yamalube dino and see what happens.
  23. That is one of the very best motorcycle oils money can buy......it aint the oil.
  24. Must be why my buddy with a 22 can't keep up with my 20.
