  1. FJR pegs for me as well, just had to adjust the shifter linkage a bit......very comfy, very cheap.
  2. I don't purposely wheelie, honestly don't understand the whole need or care for it to be quite honest. I can loft the front tire up 1st/2nd when on the boil and sometimes in 3rd, and your model year/years I believe is known to have a flat spot or hesitation in the fueling? I have full Delkevic exhaust, Booster Plug, stock gearing, traction control on lowest setting, and typically ride in standard mode. It's a quick bike with no perceivable flat spots for me, and I love to rev this engine.......engine prefers that.
  3. Turn off traction control? I have no issues at all doing a wheelie on my 20gt..........no issues.
  4. Good to know sir, thanks for the information......
  5. I have same model as the OP, hence why I said what I did.......why you shouting at me? I understand from trusted motorcycle mechanics, that you don't lube teflon lined cables, however it's common sense to lube cams/pivots etc.
  6. The factory heated grip wires are not long or need to be looped like aftermarket, they are the perfect length and made for this bike. I have owned motorcycles with teflon lined throttle/clutch cables that you do not lube, are we certain that the Tracer cables are to be lubed? For the OP, do you have risers installed or have rotated the bars back towards tank?
  7. I have a 20 and my bud has a 22.........AWESOME bikes!!!!
  8. These levers are amazing and on par with Pazzo without the price, made in France and plug and play. https://avdb-moto.fr/shop/en/32-brake-and-clutch-levers
  9. I don't ride an older model FJ9, and I also know how to calculate my gas mileage correctly. My mileage is very consistent, and how I ride is also very consistent.......other variables perhaps? I only ride with cases when on a trip, don't have a barndoor shield, full Delkevic exhaust, Booster Plug, and always run 91 or higher.
  10. Yup Michelins are great tires, however they are not $100 plus better tires per tire IMHO. Got my RS3 rear on yesterday, looking forward to the comparison.
  11. Great helmet, I just got the RPHA 70 Carbon.........love it. The reviewer in the vid said the CP3 is a thirsty engine, that most certainly isn't true, I've seen high as 52 MPG and average around 45 riding like a bat out of hell.
  12. Before my bud got the latest 1250GS, he had the top of the line Honda Africa Twin with ESA. He found it very under sprung regardless of how well it still worked, and had the front springs and rear shock spring replaced, it's just a fact that most Japanese bikes are set for 160 pound riders, where as Euro and American machines typically have heavier springs overall. I am about to upgrade the suspension on my 20GT, going with .90 KTech springs and a new KTech fully adjustable shock.
  13. 555 overall is a cluster, there are much better roads in Ohio to ride. Pick 555 up off route 78 "awesome road with new pavement" and then ride the triple nickel down to the river. Head to Marietta and ride 26/536/260/800......now those are some fine roads!!! I will argue that most stock motorcycles all have too soft of springs in them regardless of price unless it's perhaps a factory Ohlins set up, just like we replace shields/seats/brakes/exhausts....etc, there are many things which are rider preferable that need dialed in. And a $15k motorcycle isn't expensive these days, but IMHO the Tracer line up is some of the best bang for the buck out there. I do agree that Yamaha may be cheaping out a bit on ESA settings, as my buddy on his $26K 1250GS has an ESA suspension that blows his mind. Careful on 555, it's a dangerous road for many reasons.........take care and have fun!
  14. Install proper weight springs in the front and a proper spring swap for the rear.........PRESTO!!!!!
  15. EBAY has been overwhelmingly been taken over by the Chinese........
  16. Man......I don't miss anything about my C14, what year you have?
  17. Got my rear RS3 for $142 shipped, the comparable Michelin models were over $100 more. 😲
  18. I saw lots of sunburned pirates while I was out riding yesterday, I was nice and cozy in my mesh gear and brand new HJC RPHA F70 carbon helmet "love it by the way".😎
  19. I have yet to meet a single rider/owner that having a motorcycle for them has been cost effective in any way shape or form......but I know some exist, in particular depending on where you live.
  20. I rarely ride the slab so adaptive CC wouldn't be a factor in most scenarios, plus I am generally moving faster than traffic on the slab and keep away from all cages and big cages.
  21. There is nothing about owning/riding motorcycles that is cost effective and cheap.
  22. Well......loved everything about the Michelin Pilot 4 except for the price and longevity, and the newer models aren't any cheaper. Rear is almost toast after 6k miles, and yes I have proper pressures at all times. I am not going to pay that amount again, and this time will be going with the well regarded Dunlop Roadsmart III.
