  1. Mounted them couple of months back and love them so far. Been riding mainly during warm dry season and they didn't fail me.
  2. :cough: :cough: Thousands would be just to read the specs... A project like this costs hundreds of thousands if not millions... and I'm pretty sure it would need at least 1 or 2 years for a single developer to have just a prototye... Just remember that companies like Garmin, TomTom, etc have hundreds of developers working on those!
  3. Thanks! Will do next time! Shall I expect some coolant geyser situation?
  4. Quick question... So, I know it may depends on how you ride the bike, but was there a big deviation from spec of the throttle body sync at 8k miles? By the way, would you run the engine and let the coolant circulate with the radiator cap off? When I did it, I put the radiator cap on before running the engine.
  5. 5th and 6th gear are highway gear, no doubt it. On curvy roads, I usually use 2nd/3rd gear and if the turn is fast enough 4th gear. My sweet spot is 3rd gear, good engine braking, good power/torque at almost every RPM range.
  6. I remember the PR4's were giving a lot of confidence on the wet! Hopefully those are as good!
  7. Not at all... was pretty easy indeed! Just pushing the footpeg mount, putting the pin, and done. I think I received 2 right side mounts though, but it fitted, so I didn't look any further. Just make sure you have the mounts : https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-rider-footpeg-mounts-yamaha-fz6-r-fz-07-fz-09-mt-09-fj-09-tracer-900-fjr1300-niken?sku_id=1175633 The only tricky part was to remove the pin "holder" on the right side, it was a pain in the ass!
  8. Installed the radiator guard I finally received and new footpegs (Puig enduro)
  9. Finally took some time to setup my front fork suspension! The least I can say is the riding comfort change a lot! Next is the rear shock!
  10. I had PR4 on my Kawa Z750 and they were stupidly good especially on wet roads (which happened often in France). For my FJ09, I recently put Bridgestone T32, and I love them so far! I surely could put more aggressive tires since I don't ride that much, but I like the touring feel!
  11. I would not know which jacket to use in those conditions 😄
  12. I wear the Alpinestars Valparaiso 2 for any ride! It has a waterproof layer and a cold weather layer which can be removed. The waterproof might be needed for the cold weather... But, not wearing any of those layers... Cali weather 😛
  13. Just looking at the straight line makes me wish for a cruise control!
  14. Reminds me of the V-ROD for a bit, but not the fork angle... just the overall style
  15. Sorry buddy, but I think you forgot to mentioned which seat you are referring to?
  16. Thanks for the answer, I was actually thinking about getting this one https://sw-motech.us/fr/bike/YAMAHA/FJ09/2016/RN43/produits/protection/sabot+moteur/4052572027134.htm for my 2016... But if this one https://sw-motech.us/fr/bike/YAMAHA/FJ09/2016/RN43/produits/protection/sabot+moteur/4052572036679.htm is easier to install/remove... maybe I'll get it instead
  17. Out of curiosity, won't you need to remove the plate for every oil change?
  18. Not substentially... but I felt a change, hard to say if it's just the lines alone, or the pads too...
  19. Not actually done today... but I put new tires, T32. And changed brake pads and brake lines!
  20. Found one of those while flushing the coolant reservoir
