  1. When Heartland first opened the road course was about 2x as long. Then some pin heads made a big deal about a gas line running under the course and shut down the S half. The drag strip has always been fast. But Barber is awesome. I lived in the Topeka area and liked it. Birmingham and Barber beat it no contest. Enjoy all the tracks before some contrived reason evolves to shut 'em down.
  2. I got canceled on a seat when he got sick. Comfort seats were not available. Rather than not ridey new 2020, I slurged $600 on a Sargeant Ridiculous, but I got in some rides. Options have opened up some but still are not great. Corbin was horrible for me. Good luck whatever you try.
  3. You can try a carseat customizer. They usually do well at figuring what your arse will like. Also, I had a friend who custom made seats for.people relegated to wheelchairs. Might inquire about that Terry Adcox in TN had a good reputation for seat modification. See if still in business.
  4. Might try some lift to the screw head while turning it out. Might be able to keep the nut from turning at the same time. Has worked for me in the past. > have used dental floss or fishing line to loop around the fastener head, pull up while turning.
  5. Ahh, red is the fastest, just like mine!
  6. I get that. What I'm gonna try should be pretty fool proof.
  7. I recall that you bought the Evotech. I have 2 gutter guards which I intend to tie together and attach to the radiator surround. I'll have less than $10 in the project. The guards are black, pretty sturdy, and with my fenda extenda should provide decent protection. Thanks again for the UK source info!
  8. Search for an old thread on the subject came up empty so thought I'd post under a new topic. The old thread mentioned Pyramid Plastics UK Ltd and good pricing/delivery to the US. My bike is a 2020 Tracer 900GT. I ordered both the fender and hugger extenda's on 3/24/22 with both arriving at my KS home on 4/6/22. Pricing total was GBP 61.31 or $88 US. Good pricing and pretty good delivery. Package markings show Yamaha MT-09 2013> Matte Black Extenda Fenda #052311, and Yamaha Tracer 900 2018> Hugger Extension #072446. Even if these items were available in the US the UK pricing would be hard to beat. Anyone who has searched for both items knows they are hard to find and are on back order. FYI, hope this helps fellow riders as did the original thread I couldn't find.
  9. My bad. Your bike is a 2021, mine is a 2020. Hence the part # differences. Got mine ordered just now, total was 61.31 UK, $84.92 US. Hope the order arrives as quickly as yours did! Like most things the usual sources over here for those things are ridiculous if you can find them. Our price charged ain't cheap but seems reasonable. Thanks again for your post.
  10. The link does not show the part numbers you cite, must be out of those. They do show others that should fit but more $$. Oh well. You tried, and I appreciate it!!
  11. I see no reason to change fork oil so soon. And fork oil is pretty much the same across name brands. Unless you just like to tinker, spend the time riding. My $.02,!
  12. Time will tell, but early indications bode well usually. Good!
  13. I've been curious about your progress on this problem. Good and "daring" work! Once I learned my issue was caused by my own ham fists I no longer have a problem. Surely some here will benefit from diligence. Thanks!!!
  14. I bought my r1100 rt with the torture oem seat, and immediately ordered a Corbin. That was when Corbin started messing with small cars, and lost focus on seats. The Corbin arrived after I put about 4000 miles on the rt, after 8-9000 miles Corbin was zero % better than the oem. I bought a used Russell that was ok, just ok. I ended up with CBailey, long story, which was excellent over about 120000 miles. Bailey quit the seat business.
  15. All that adjustability comes with a cost likely higher than most of us will pay. But, the cost of an aftermarket more arse kind seat is high and lots of us pony up, not knowing for certain the new will help our discomfort. It's a dilemma for sure.
  16. I didn't check where you are but look at Terry's Custom Seats. Excellent reputation, centrally located in Manchester, TN. Last year he quit taking orders because he had more work than he could complete in reasonable time. A personal issue affected that also. Worth checking out. For me, Corbin was awful. Must have been my wonky arse. Good luck
  17. For 10 yrs or so I mounted a small emergency info card holder on all of my helmets. Keeps the info dry and hasn't come off ever. I also laminate my med info, which I update yearly, and place 1 each under my helmet liner, in my wallet, and jacket pocket.
  18. I see zero reason to switch from what has worked well over such a long riding life and maybe a dozen flats. No failures, a couple of tires ridden to the end of tread with 2 plugs.
  19. Double up? How, and why? Several riding buds and I have used the snakes from Walmart with zero failure rate over thousands of miles. Again it's individual choice.
  20. I have used the cheap snakes in several flats with no problems. I coat them with rubber cement when ready to plug. I see no reason to not use them but it's an individual choice.
  21. That kind of thing can happen no matter what the gear.
  22. If you search using diesel oil in gasoline engine the result indicates you can, provided the spec and viscosity match the engine requirements. Yamaha likely suspects most of us wouldn't check that. Just a guess though.
