Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted November 11, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted November 11, 2019 I've also had an issue with the twin contacts within the switch which may need some dielectric grease but it is tricky to dis and reassemble correctly
Buggy Nate
Bit of oil under the rubber boot at the top helps with corrosion and free movement.
Supporting Member roadrash83 Posted November 13, 2019 Supporting Member Share Posted November 13, 2019 I would try WD40 on the switch to lube it, oil will attract more dirt. He who dies with the most toys wins.

v1nn1e
I had issues with intermittent activation of this switch and it was as Betoney said, the plunger was a bit stiff in the housing/rubber boot and when the spring was tensioned by the foot pedal it sometimes wasn't quite enough to pull the plunger out. Liberal application of WD40 whilst pulling the plunger in and out with a pair of pliers and working it back and forth has sorted it.
Premium Member 1moreroad Posted November 22, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted November 22, 2019 Funny to see this. For the 1st time on a 2015 I noticed about a week ago that once or twice I had to press the rear pedal hard to activate the light. Once it worked again, any pressure was ok. I guess the sensor gets a little sticky?
