Spookzii
Hi guys Only had my bike 6 months (bought with 9k on the clock) and already smashed my 24k dreaded service level. Cheers I cant help you with dealers or service locations. I am assuming that you are referring to kilometers? What is involved in the 24,000km service? the valves aren't scheduled for adjustment until 42,000km (26,600miles). I have had my valves checked/adjusted twice already at 44,000 miles and paid about what you were quoted for BOTH services. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

The Brits are still on imperial miles like you colonials. It's us enlightened Europhiles that drive around in kilometres. CS

Stew
Years ago I bought my vstrom from Alf England. At the time their workshop was full of FJR's , being kitted out with all the police gear. My bike was bought with 7000 miles on it, and was like new. I'd recommend them as well for anyone around there. But this is still an old thread
timo50
Try Streetbike in Halesowen, I've always had good service there. Stealth Motorcycles in Redditch are a good independant dealer.
bth2bth2
main dealer price will be about £700. my tenere cost me £600 and that was just to check. all in tolerance. they didnt give me the chance to say set the clearances to top limit. they just put the lid on it and said its ok....grrr. I have serious doubts they were ALL in tolerance, it's a big job and most techs don't want to do it right. Many prices to check/adjust here in the US can exceed $1000 for that job. skipperT
Tenere’s are MUCH more of a PIA vs the tracer engine. That engine is also more likely to be all in spec, vs the CP3 which is more likely to be out of spec. HTH, -Skip T
