  1. Make sure that you didnt install the battery wrong... it has been done many times due to the orientation of the battery... the noise was probably ABS pump. I will try to find one of the threads and post a link here.
  2. I believe he will re-flash it for free after the original flash if you decide to get a pipe later. I used him for my FJ... A Mode (quick turn) is amazing.
  3. Not a fan of the target... guess I can get my dad to stand by the bike.
  4. Yeah.. I was standing there one day and thought... my bike has no contrast just gray and black. I asked my daughter what color to go with and she said orange since its mommy's favorite color... hahaha. Well i think it worked... The pinstripe is just 1/8" 3M striping tape. Free handed it... took about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Rode mine into work this evening despite not so ideal conditions...
  6. Didn't "do" this today, but decided to post about it. Installed some Michelin Road 5s a couple hundred miles ago... Previously had a set of Conti Road Attack 3s. Impressions are that the Road 5s turn in much quicker and feel more nimble. However they also feel a little less stable above 100mph (so I'm told 😉 ). I don't know if its the general profile of the tire or if it is because the Contis had been worn a little flat on the center of the rear from many many miles of suburban and urban commuting. Overall very happy with the Road 5s. Hopefully will get good mileage out of them.
  7. Maybe treat it periodically with some ACF-50... I don't think the metal on the forks is particularly prone to rusting. Hopefully somebody else has a good suggestion. https://www.amazon.com/ACF-50-Anti-Corrosion-Lubricant-Compound-Aerosol/dp/B000P1C8UO
  8. TWO!! We need to get another FJ/Tracer group together... a couple of us met in Suches last year. Good times.
  9. This issue has been documented several times over the years on FZs, FJs, and MTs.... it seems the Tracer GT still has the symptoms. Which makes sense as not much has really changed other than the chassis. I have a '15 FJ and have only experienced this 1 time... I wasn't too alarmed as I had read about many others having the same issue. I'm not sure if anyone has ever come upon an actual solution or definitive cause.
  10. @piotrekperfect. Thanks a lot for the comparison pictures. After my last post I did figure out the part #s but the picture you provided was worth more. I think I'm going to order some. Revzilla has them but the "LL" are unavailable.
  11. Which model/part #'s fit our bikes? I didnt see it listed under Yamaha. ....or a link to where you purchased them.
  12. I have found several threads on this forum stating that the FJR1300 pegs are being used on FJ's. I understand that the Ebay listing says they aren't compatible, but I'm not sure that's 100% accurate. Exhibit A... YouTube video of install of FJR pegs identical to those pictures. Exhibit B... this is the product used in the video. FZ, FJ, MT, Tracer, etc not listed as compatible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MF8K6MZ/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01MF8K6MZ&linkCode=as2&tag=cigarobsecom-20&linkId=eb8365811195b3db2426392388e68ba1 ... but I do understand wanting then to show our bikes as compatible. Hope you find what you're looking for. You dont have a record of purchase from your previous foot pegs?
  13. Look good to me... more visible from the front than my flush mount signals.
  14. These? https://yamabits.co.uk/yamaha-mt-09-adventure-foot-pegs.html ....or these? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-FJR1300A-ABS-2004-2013-OE-Style-Front-Foot-Pegs-Footpeg-Set/152657275437?fits=Model%3AFJR1300|Make%3AYamaha&epid=20003741835&hash=item238b152a2d:g:TwAAAOSw9EZZi6JO
  15. Highly recommend going this route... no need for resistors... plug and play. And its adjustable so you can speed up or slow down the rate to your liking.
  16. @mellowI've been thinking about getting my own tire changer... which one do you have? Or would you recommend?
  17. Several people had expressed interest... hopefully they will come through.
  18. @CruizinTesting out the new features.... so far I like the new software!

  19. Thank you! Thanks! I think so too. I don't know exactly how much lighter the Akra exhaust is... I remember seeing the figure somewhere when I was doing my original research. I think somewhere around 4 pounds. You will have to disable the AIS via the flash software in order to get rid of the popping/gurgle if it bothers you. I have an Akrapovic.. prior to the flash I felt it was lacking in the mid range.. 4500-5500 RPM. Sent my ECU off to Vcyclenut and all is well. My set up is, Closed loop (O2 sensor disabled), AIS disabled, speed limiter removed, Quick turn throttle response, Start in "A" mode, Cooling fan on @ 195°F... I think that's it.
