  1. I know this is an old thread but... You still happy with your Rizoma MA005.. the MA006 is the updated version.. very similar specs as the MA009 just not as much rise. Any clearance issues with the lower rise? What is the stock rise, for reference?
  2. Took 2.2oz (60 grams) to balance the front wheel/tire. The Shop says its zeroed out. Just seems like a lot of weight. I guess it's ok though. Thoughts? I just need to get my own kit so I can mount and balance my own tires.
  3. The last time I rode the FJ, about a week ago, I thought it felt a little squirrelly coming out of a couple corners. Didn't think much of it since it was wet out and I planned to replace the tires soon anyway. Well today I go out to the garage for a little pre-ride check and..... rear tire is completely flat. Picked up an unidentifiable triangular piece of metal that left a cut in the rear. I guess that's what I was feeling... So.. pulled the tires off and broke the chain.. PR5s, new chain, and new front sprocket are going on. Just like my OE tires.. the front was worn more than the rear and they were worn more on the sides about 35 degress from center. Rear tire has plenty of tread, but a little squared off on the middle.. so kinda opposite wear than the front.
  4. This might be a dumb question but are the MA006 ends threaded to accept the Yamaha hardware? I believe they do not come threaded but are able to be threaded if you have a tap die set.
  5. That initial noise on the non-dampened sprocket would have gone away in about a hundred miles. Good to know as I am about to install a non-dampened sprocket.
  6. Those look great @betoney... no personal experience with Denali but have always heard good things. Really like the look of the "Offset Mount Kit" just inside the fender, but all 3 look great.
  7. Lmao! I'm technically a millennial, but have more in common with the Generation X... This comment is great.
  8. If it had been you @redfjniner, it would have been due to a deer strike ? :D so true...
  9. You inspired me to take a look at mine.. everything loos good for now. Puig Touring Screen with deflector.
  10. I don't remember I've had them for several months.. I'll try to find my order confirmation. It's also possible that I'm mistaken. You were right.. they were $354 on revzilla. I used revzilla bucks so I ended up at $320 ish...
  11. Michelins on sale? wha..? Where are these on sale? I have never seen the Road 5's for less than about $350 a set. I don't remember I've had them for several months.. I'll try to find my order confirmation. It's also possible that I'm mistaken.
  12. I currently have a set of Road Attack 3 Evos on my FJ... much more grip than the stock tires. Warm up is almost non existent they seem to stick almost immediately. A little more stiff than I thought they would be. Have a set of PR5s in the garage that I will be installing shortly. I have about 8500 miles on the Contis. Good bit of tread left, but kind squared off on the rear and a decent amount of cupping on the front. Overall a good tire, just wanted to give the PR5s a shot due to all the good reviews and I found them on sale.
  13. Thank god someone saved me from myself.... (rofl) I must have spent 2-3 hours looking around and never got close.... I don't know whether to laugh or seek help... Ordering off of eBay is probably easier than trying to translate Japanese parts diagrams too....
  14. That sucks... I should have ordered several and offered them on the Forum
  15. You have to put in a quantity that you want a price for.
  16. I used that guys blog to track it down. Ordered from japan.webike.net .... im sure the part numbers are correct. Might even have the packaging somewhere in the garage. Edit... Added screenshot. https://i.imgur.com/mhVySS3.jpg
  17. Awesome thank you very much! Just saw that yours is a GT... should work as long as the passenger footrests mounts in the same place.
  18. @roadrash83 this was my original post.
  19. This is all you need.... Part #s …. 4R8-21308-01 2SC-2115J-00 90149-06154
  20. Got everything loose now. Not sure what the tightening procedure is. Just tightened the handle bar to risers and am now going to tighten the risers to the triple. Hoping this is right. Bar looks good. Everything looks straight as i hold it now, just need to make sure it stays that way when tightening everything. *yeah, full garage and being careless. I surprisingly didn't blow a gasket, hahaha. I was refering to lower pinch bolts, axle bolt, and axle pinch bolt. To make sure the forks weren't tweaked slightly. Makes sense to loosen the handlebar mounts and risers and line them up too.
  21. Loosen up everything except the top pinch bolts and bounce the front end and see if you cant get her straightened back out. Won't help if the bars are actually bent. How did she fall over, stand not all the way down?
  22. Do you have a parts list or the like to do this? https://fj-09.org/thread/7263/yamaha-tracer-slipper-conversion-complete
