  1. I rode to work today! About the most excitement I'll have on two wheels for a while.
  2. I'll focus on the positive and say, good riding!
  3. It got me good yesterday. Was not expecting owls. Was not disappointed.
  4. The owl was less than superb yesterday. Glad you got out on the bike though. I *might* just get a chance this week.
  5. Dave Moss will recommend removing the calipers, popping the pistons out & draining the calipers. The other 99% of the internet will tell you you're fine as is. I'm in the 99% percent.
  6. Maybe it's open to "local" traffic? The washout (assuming there is only one) is way further south towards Rat Creek as far as I could tell.
  7. You shouldn't give up hope *just* yet. You might be able to get as far south as Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd and take that inland. Or alternatively, take it from inland to the coast. The road is worth doing all on it's own anyway.
  8. I found my leathers used on craigslist 10.5 years ago. I happened to get lucky finding something in my size. So that's where I'd start. If you can't find anything on the used market, Cycle Gear sells Sedici leathers at a reasonable price. My ex crash tested them a couple times and they held up well.
  9. That's awesome man! Excellent place to start. They split the school into two groups based on experience. Same material in the classroom sessions, just helps keep the pace more similar on track. I'm doing a ChampGrad day, so I'll be there on Tuesday only.
  10. It does sound a little better in the helmet, but I don't think it's loud enough for road presence.
  11. I got out and rode about 25 miles yesterday. First time I've been on a bike in a looooong while.
  12. I've got the full akro. It's not much lighter and it doesn't offer much more grunt. I wouldn't buy it again.
  13. I know Dave personally. He's a great guy and means well, but he can be massively overkill. He's also told me likes to take a toothbrush to his brake caliper pistons after every race weekend.
  14. This. If I see it, I'll generally edit the post to fix it. However, I can't read every post every day so I miss quite a few I'm sure.
  15. I'm still clinging onto my last can of blue... there isn't much left though
  16. I would bleed again. Does the GT master cylinder have a bleed screw on it? Might be worth starting there.
  17. Tire feel is a VERY subjective thing. Some people don't like the feel more than others. Personally, I ran them dead.
  18. GG kevlar pads are great for the rear.
  19. Make sure your shift linkage is all tight. @com3, didn't you have an issue with a piece of the shift linkage being installed incorrectly from the factory?
