  1. I'm not sure, since this is a ride-by-wire setup, I don't know how it differs from traditional throttle cable management.
  2. I'm yet to find a seat that really works for me, so I'm inclined to say suspension first.
  3. Welcome! Hope you get some warmer weather soon.
  4. @Rick123 I will remove the warning and offer you a public apology. I did miss what was in the OP. However, it's probably not a good idea to use such language / make jokes like that without context. I'm not the only one that missed the joke.
  5. Talk about struggling to keep the front wheel down...
  6. Rick has been warned another outburst like this will get him banned. For now, he's been suspended for a week. Let's return to our normally scheduled content...
  7. That's some serious mileage! Hopefully you get it sorted soon.
  8. Two wheels in front is a lot more stable than two wheels in the rear.
  9. Nah. Cases of engine failure are rare. On this forum Vinnie and Rusty Shackles are the only two to have issues. Of the hundreds of members on this forum, that's a very very small percentage. Additionally, Olddawg (spelling?) has 230,000 miles on his FJ last time he checked in. Once the valves are adjusted, they seem to stay in spec. My guess is the valve seats "settle" in the first few thousand miles requiring an early adjustment.
  10. I will be surprised if your exhaust valves are NOT tight.
  11. It seems like once the tight valves are rectified, they stay in spec. I wonder if the valves are growing or the seats compressing (allowing more retraction of the valve).
  12. You don't *need* any of it, but under armor type material, long sleeves and long pants, help the leathers slide off easier.
  13. A rectangle 1.5" x 3" would work well enough for you. The cheap / easy / quick would be a 2" hole saw. If that's the improvement you're looking for, go to town with a dremel and make it the shape you want.
  14. The FJ stayed in the garage, but it's roommate got some seat time.
  15. Similiar story here. I rode around yesterday in the mid 50's, very nice. Today it's freezing and snowing. Not like you northerns get, but enough to make driving interesting.
  16. Update: I treated myself to a Christmas present. Champ Grad day at RA. Thanks com3 for the discount code!
  17. You are an inspiration putting that GL through a water crossing. My hat off to you sir!
  18. I miss the north coast. It's so unique.
  19. So basically 20% off? That's a large chunk of change to save. Awesome! A Champ Grad day at Road Atlanta is realllllly tempting...
