  1. I use a vise to break tire beads. You need a real wide vise to break the beads on the FJ rear, but it's do-able.
  2. Today, I said good-bye to my FJ. The new owner seems like a very pleasant guy. I'm sure they'll be a great pair. I already bought the replacement in November, a 2011 blue / white Daytona 675. Buy in Nov, sell in April as the adage goes.
  3. Beautiful riding. Northern CA is in a league of its own.
  4. Oh yes, the weather is much better. My work schedule on the other hand... I actually took PTO on Tuesday to go play on the racetrack. It was much needed.
  5. Very nice Daz! Glad someone is able to get out and ride.
  6. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Start saving now for the next one haha!
  7. Man... I wish. I miss the Sierra Nevadas.
  8. How did you end up liking it? I apologize, I never made it over to say hi. I did Champ Grad and was on a different schedule, anytime I had free time, you were on track & vise versa I think.
  9. I haven't had a ticket on a motorcycle since I started doing trackdays 11 years ago. *knock on wood*
  10. I want to make the officer as relaxed as possible. Nothing more.
  11. I try to make the officer as comfortable as possible. Immediately acknowledge their presence, find a safe place to pull over, keep hands in plain site, and let them control the conversation.
  12. It doesn't hurt to ask! I'm not in the area, so I can't help you unfortunately.
  13. I prefer my CalSci tinted shorty. I would encourage you to see how you like it with no windscreen. Yes that sounds ludacris, but IMO no screen is better than the OEM. Cheers
  14. Welcome!! Most of us replace the screen with aftermarket.
  15. You'll be okay. They'll do a great job walking you through everything. You'll be amazed how comfortable they make you feel.
  16. @maximo what's the next challenge? Neat dam Rick!
  17. It's true. The sound is great, I love it.
  18. Glad you had fun and accomplished your goals. Trail braking is just a phenomenal tool to have in the toolbox.
  19. I don't think the springs would affect the air gap. I would go back to stock air gap, whatever that is.
  20. @Bobbles is in your area-ish. You two can be Tracer buddies.
