Here lane splitting has always been legal and 99% of fuel stations are open with full service 24/7. No self service fuelling here.

The dealer where I bought my Tracer had one of only 3 R7s in South Africa at the time, they had it suspended from the ceiling so that nobody could fiddle with it!

I just read the latest issue of Cycle News and there is a ride report on the 2022 R7. To be honest I couldn't believe that Yamaha put an R label on a twin! It's a pretty bike but.... Someone mentioned somewhere that this is going to replace the R6 in World SSP but I don't see it. This made me think, I have terrible wind noise problems with my AGV Corsa R and the stock screen, even with earplugs it is not pleasant. I am 1.81m so almost the same as the graphic above. I think I will try riding without the stock screen for a while before spending money that should be going towards suspension.

I weigh 110kg and my wife weighs 65kg, we ride 2 up most of the time. That's 385lb nekkid. I'm not sure how much the gear weighs. Tomorrow we are going on a trip with the big Givi topbox packed for the weekend. The suspension is standard and the bike handles and rides fine.

100Nm and I have an expensive Gedore torque wrench.

I had a 2004 FZ6 and when I changed the sprockets I torqued to manual spec and it was fine.

agreed, FFS if you can't remember to press the button 5-10 seconds after turning should you be out unsupervised?

The only positive I can take from this thread is that the 700 looks more ridiculous with the Givi topbox than my MT-09 Tracer does. Edit: and that matt blue is gorgeous!

Well, seeing that the thread has gone completely off topic, my June 2017 Tracer has 9,969km on the clock. I ride it when I want to and that's that.

If I get pulled over, by the time the cop gets to me I have my helmet off and my licence in my hand. "Good day officer" has got me out of many a ticket because my numberplate is illegally small but everything else is by the book.

Back in the day I had a Honda CB400N with Moriwaki 425 pistons, Moriwaki cam and pipe, K&N rear shocks and I was bullet proof on board. It ran both speedo and rev counter off the clock. There was a new suburb near us with beautiful roads and no houses and we used to go and "race" on weekends, I had Pirelli Phantom tyres on the bike and the footpegs were worn down to about an inch long from dragging in corners. Invincible! One day I threw it into a right hander, the peg folded but when the peg mount hit the road it lifted the back tyre and down I went. I slid on my ass and right hand, luckily wearing Bates shorty leather gloves but I had a roastie the size of a side plate on my ass as my jeans weren't up to the task. My wife (then girlfriend) was first to the scene of the accident and she said "that will teach you" before walking away.

Wash your hair or shave your head. My head has been shaven for over 20 years, I have an X-Lite 802 that is more that 10 years old and it doesn't smell at all.

My hand guards were removed directly after the stock pipe. Way too wide after a Fazer 600 and nerve racking for lane splitting. I still need to try riding without the screen.
