  1. Maybe a month ago a member posted a seat here that I am trying to find. Trust me, did extensive searching with no joy. Seat was made outside the US, but can remember exactly the name of the company. it was leather, and had blue and white color. If this rings a bell for anyone - let me know.
  2. Emailed Driven Racing tech support this morning because I had the same issue after a 2nd refill. They are west coast I’m east coast. Not only did they reply before their office hours but emailed 2 times to make sure I got the reply to call them back. The problem was me. Slightly overfilled both times. Plugged the vent hole. That’s it. . Super impressed with their support. They are sending me new o-rings as well to replace what I have now. @texscottyd you are good to purchase. This problem only occurred during the two refills sines I added the cap. Cap has been on and off multiple times between each refill with no issue so I’m convinced the problem was me.
  3. Tires are fantastic. Only got 100 miles on them and nothing crazy as they break in, but what a difference I didn't know I was missing. Fall is here in NY and the days of hot sticky tires are gone. Can't wait to see what these do next spring.
  4. Like the design and the ability to align the rear straight to the mm. They have click adjustment that is spot on when setting left to right. Had the laser on the chain and one click on the right adjuster, you can see the slightest slew of the chain. Gilles were awesome, but I’m too particular on certain things and getting out the calipers our every time the rear goes back on bugged me. I like to ride fast and don’t want to wonder if my rear is precision aligned.
  5. Add the mother of all chain adjusters. Wow. That’s all I can say. Pricy, but takes “all” the guess work out of rear wheel alignment and has precise click adjustments. Selling my Gilles Tooling adjusters to anyone on the forum (US only please) for $50 plus shipping. Just PM me and we can go from there. They are mint and work great. Way way better than the stock crap Yamaha provides.
  6. Dam. What roads you riding. Lol. Amazes me the multi-use this FJ offers. Nice
  7. Yes. I’m apparently not smart enough to make intelligent comments on tires. Lol. But Texas Scotty I’m sure has a dissertation on these and all things Michelin. I will report back with my feedback. They look sweet. Even the pattern on the inside is nothing I have ever seen.
  8. Soooo, been riding my 2015 (new last fall) on the original tires 7800 miles. I'm curious the improvement when I get these mounted Friday :). I educated myself over the weekend on all things motorcycle tires and believe I'm Lucky (which is my nickname) to be alive riding the way i have been on that rear tire. Noticed some interesting wear a few weeks ago that got me thinking. I was hoping to make till the snow before the purchase. Glad I didn't. Thanks Scott for always pointing me in the right direction.
  9. Pretty sure no more vac issues. Still driving around with an allen wrench and my original cap - lol. I believe I did not have a good seal on the rubber gasket on the cap itself. Have had 2 rides since and no issue. Can't wait to get the Road Pilot 5's mounted Friday - You cracked me up with you comment about driving like I do on the original Dunlops. Stupid is as Stupid does. And that's me
  10. Def had something like this happen to me today when I put on my new Driven Racing Halo cap. I’m just gonna drive around with the original cap and bolts with me in case I have problems. I’m confused as to how complex the stock cap is compared to what I just installed. Just is still out I guess. Driven does not make crap, so I have to assume this product has been tested extensively. I also know how finicky motors can be when it comes to proper vacuum. Maybe this cap ultimately won’t play well with the FJ.
  11. Added some gas cap bling. No more key. Yeah. However pretty sure I had vacuum issues initially as the first 2 quick trips the bike did not want to start properly. Nerve ever had that happen. Took cap off and back on and all good.
  12. Images are out of order. Sorry. One image is disassemble and 2 images are reassemble. Follow the letters. Lol
  13. Yup. I frequently review my video and choices and have grounded myself for days. That part of the highway is right close to home and I know every inch of every piece of pavement. However, I’d hate for my stupidity to cause undue harm to anything else. Yes. Whole new cockpit. Bars, grips. Etc. I also have a GPR stabilizer which may not be a fair comparison to those without. Have a great long weekend Scott. Always appreciate your advice and humor.
  14. It’s part of the Garmin Virbe package. Some of the overlays are for an airplane, but work well on the bike if the camera is set up level. There’s a lot of data in there. Anyone looking for an action camera look Garmin before GoPro. Also, I can work all the camera functions from my Garmin GPS mounted on my bars.
  15. 122ish and no wobble. Oh wait, my heartbeat was wobbling.
  16. When I installed my rear, i removed the backing plates from the stock and put them on the EBCs. Not sure if they would work as well without.
  17. I'm a techno-nerd. Comes from my days of peddling thousands of miles where I'm consistently monitoring heart rate, power output, climb angle, etc....
  18. Anyone have any actual lean angle data on this bike in a real legit corner? I get that data off my Garmin along with G-Force and a crap load of other overlay data.
  19. True dat - Can't imagine how my bike would be without it. Really wakes up the motor.
