  1. @wordsmith- I've wrapped a couple of items before. Not an expert by a longshot but basically what you need to do is to heat up the vinyl to make it plyable. Once warm stretch it and stick it down. The key here is to not heat up too much that it distorts, and likewise not to stretch it too much that it distorts any design on it. You need to figure out odd corners that will require creases in the wrap as you will need to cut and shape these. There is not much else to add to that. @nicksta43- You may also want to check out plastidip. It's a very durable rubbery spray that can be easily peeled off once you are fed up of it. I have used it on my cars radiator grille and it has easily lasted 3 years on the front.
  2. It still looks much tidier than stock. Could you please send me a pic of the joint between the crane arm and fender eliminator as I am curious to see if it looks tidy or not?
  3. Did you use copper grease on the new bolts. If not you might want to
  4. I don't believe textile or leather jackets have a shelf life but manufacturers advise that textile jackets are changed after accidents as due to the way they are made there may be invisible damage to the woven threads that weaken the jackets strength. This is not the case with leather
  5. Is anyone using the RHS and LHS RG-Racing engine case protectors? https://www.rg-racing.com/browsetype/Engine_Case_Sliders/Yamaha/MT-09_Tracer_(FJ-09)/ECS0084BK/
  6. I don't believe i feel it though the handlebars, it's more a case of me hearing a "clunk"
  7. I don't get this feeling when riding and to be honest at low speed it is more of a sound than a feeling through the handlebars. If you are worried try and go out for a test ride
  8. I only usually hear knocking when the engine is cold and until around 20kph
  9. Have been look for a fender eliminator for ages. Unfortunately all of the ones I have seen (including Hussan's setup) result in the indicators being hidden between the panniers so it is nearly impossible for following traffic to see them unless they are directly behind you.
  10. @hussan- Isn't that the B5c-h4550 optional fender eliminator without the extension bar?
  11. Normal. Mine does it too. You will hear it at low speeds when going over bumps too.
  12. I use a Cardo system. When using the Cardo speakers alone I have the same problem. For longer rides I usually use custom moulded noise cancelling ear plugs (designed specifically for motorcycles). These drown out the wind and traffic noise and make the Cardo speakers much easier to use. To be clear i don't mean the music type of noise cancelling ear plugs but the safety type as per below: Earplugs for motorcyclists - no more wind noise in your helmet WWW.ALPINEHEARINGPROTECTION.COM After motorcycling, do you have problems with ringing in your ears? This is due to the noise to which you are exposed. In particular...
  13. I had actually seen that and it got me thinking. Your setup uses external sensors and got curious about reliable systems with internal sensors.
  14. I gave them a quick wipe down with Lucas metal polish and it quickly cleaned them up. I think autosol is specifically for Chrome so I don't know if you can use it on titanium
  15. Anyone here uses a TPMS with internal sensors and would recommend their model? And any opinions on internal vs external sensors? I am aware the external sensors require metal valve stems and there is the obvious advantage of having not having to remove the tyre to change the sensor.
  16. Yeah that won't work for the GT unfortunately
  17. Have been looking at that but i doubt it wll work on the GT model because of the hard luggage. Would you be able to take a birds eye view of the tail tidy please so I can see how the indicators sit in relation to the oem arm?
  18. Not near the bike but i think this is configurable from the menu accessible by the toggle
  19. Quickshifter definitely works when changing from 2nd to 3rd but is quite rough and smooths out all the way until 5th to 6th. I always put this down to the fact that in 2nd there is a lot more power available at full throttle than there is in 5th so it makes it harder for the QS to smooth it out
  20. My GT runs around 80-85 Celsius in winter and 90-95 in Summer. Tenp shoots to 105 almost instantly in summer and the fan kicks in around 105 and drops it down to 98. I live in the Mediterranean so in summer ambient temp is 30+
  21. That's good to hear. Thanks :)
  22. Calling the welding experts amongst you! So i have just received my new Akrapovic S-Y9R8-HEGEHT exhaust and whilst checking the headers I noticed there is a lot of discolouration around the exhaust header weld points. Is this normal or indicative of weak/bad welds?
