  1. Plenty of headlights for sale on ebay: yamaha+tracer+headlight | eBay WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Find great deals on eBay for yamaha+tracer+headlight. Shop with confidence.
  2. I'm in Malta and we drive on the same side of the road. We have no issues importing used bikes from Italy. what is an itv inspector?
  3. Japanese bikes are bi-directional. Why would you need headlights changed for the UK? Your bike should already road legal for Europe. The old days of stickers to redirect headlight beam are long gone
  4. The aftermarket one has the cat-convertor (P-KAT-057) purchased as a separate accessory (as does the yamaha one). The only difference i can see is the aftermarket one has an Akrapovic logo sticker whilst the OEM one has it stamped. Both don't require retuning. The above only applies to the S-Y9R8-HEGEHT. The aftermarket one cost me €885 + €144 for the Cat, as opposed to €1600 for the OEM. I am not even sure the 1600 includes the Cat. To be honest I am not a fan of the looks of the Graves. Whilst the Akrapovic looks great, the difference in sound is good but difference in volume is next to non-existent which makes me wonder if my purchase was worthwhile. If I had to do it again I would go for an arrow.
  5. Retailers in general definitely DO screw with us here (Malta)! Although my experience so far with the local Yamaha dealer has been positive overall
  6. Evotech rad guard is fairly straight forward. You just need to remove the 2 side panels to install it.
  7. All of the bikes do this and the speed always marks higher than gps. I believe it is to ensure that you don't get caught out with speed guns i.e. you are always slower than you think you actually are.
  8. contact cleanser is a great call and would have been my recommendation. It evaporates so there shouldn't be any risk of it causing any damage. To be honest, if your plan is to claim it under warranty don't touch it. If they don't want to help then whack out the contact cleaner
  9. My post wasn't mean to be specifically related to the 2A post I linked to. It is part of a thread that contains instructions and pics on how to reach the spare auxiliary plugs hidden behind the GT dash so you can hardwire your Garmin (and any other devices you want)
  10. My heater groups on my gt do the same and it took me a while to figure it out. The right gets warm because it is your accelator hand so you always have a good grip on it. You usually keep a loose grip on the clutch hand and use that hand to do anything so it is constantly being removed from the bar causing the grip to cool down. Try gripping the left for a while like you do with the right and it should get as warm.
  11. @betoneyLooks like it is coming from the joint but doesnt seem to fluctuate it with throttle blips making me believe it was just something burning @BBBthanks that was my assumption too
  12. So I just installed the Catalytic converter in my Akrarovic and noticed that it was generating a lot of white smoke from the mid-pipe joint. I know that white smoke is normal in new exhausts but is it normal to be coming from the mid-pipe joint? I have used copper paste to prevent the pipes seizing so am not sure if the smoke is just the copper paste burning off, or indicative of a bad seal between the pipes. The springs and all bolts are secured in place.
  13. Bear in mind that flashing your ECU will probably void your warranty
  14. As @norcal616 said the catalytic just slides into the end of the exhaust (where it meets the headers). It is an optional extra so you can still buy it for your exhaust.
  15. The catalytic converter needs to be purchased separately for the Akrapovic exhaust.
  16. The beak fits well at the top but slopes along the side panel at an off level. I think this is because Powerbronze didn't bother doing R&D before claiming it fits the GT model (they sell it as GT version). I wouldn't have minded if this was a 20 euro knock-off, but I paid full whack for the original Powerbronze one. In terms how noticable is it; the answer is not very obvious unless you are looking at the bike up close and from the side.
  17. @bowlin01 - Does this count: https://www.instagram.com/p/BrsbAyHn28W/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BqVVo-9HLu-/ The fit against the side fairing isn't perfect as I think it WAS designed for the old Tracer and the new tracer side fairing seems to have a different angle.
  18. @edgarjessop12 - Problem with the R&G one from what I can see is that the indicators are hidden behind the panniers meaning that unless you are immediately behind the bike you won't see the indicator
  19. If you mean turned black whilst cleaning with autosol that is normally how autosol works. Should wipe clean
  20. Just came across this vid. Not the most attractive exhaust but my god the sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CBGdLQ9bJA
  21. someone on here had sanded it down and painted it with perfect results but I can't seem to find the post for you
