  • Rode to the dealer this morning to have the tech look at the bike to see what was going on. He plugged in my ECU to have a look, and his explanation makes sense and I'm sorted out now. According

  • Finally got my Tracer back after 6 Weeks. It took 5 weeks to get the replacement ECU. Bike is running great, as it was before. I can't really tell any difference.

  • Ok, for the record all of those pics are wrong.  The recall installs a black plastic cover on the Oxygen sensor plug - but at the wiring harness side, which is then wrapped up and blended into th

And another new ECU reflash - confirmed with my dealer it's a new one (there was one last year as well).

Thanks for the info and heads up. I haven't received any info from my dealer yet or if mine is affected. Saw another post regarding this and the affected VIN ranges but couldn't tell if my Tracer was part of it.

Glad you posted this.  I will check on mine.  I have not heard anything from anyone yet.

Heard nothing about these in Kalifornia after having my ‘21 reflashed & new throttle tube last year.
Gawd I really dislike speedmonkey techs working on my bikes (I’m an ex-motorbike wrench & know what goes on, plus recent mistakes found). Oh well gotta do it if it comes here.

Yeah, I’m not going to stop riding my bike for this fix, sorry Yamaha.

Just to confirm, the ECU flash that I posted above is a new one, in addition to the one you had done previously.

I checked the recall list by VIN and just the old recalls from 2021 showed up.

Interesting. My dealer told it me it was separate one.

This line in the recall makes it sound like it's a second one.

Note: This recall replaces recall M22-014 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-099). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair.

Maybe it's a Canada-only recall.

It’s a new software flash. Bikes that already had it done, need it done again.

dealer software will show the change in the p/n of the ECM flash if there’s any doubt you can ask.
