chris618
I bought the FZ ones and they fit fine. I informed OES and they know, but have been too busy to update their website.

com3
i'm looking for crash bars proper. anyone has em on the FJ yet?
adjuster
I am going to put the same ones I had on my FZ09 on the FJ09. They are from T-Rex, have an upper aluminum bar that spans between the two engine bolts, and have a large slider puck on both sides, and then also case protectors made from delrin or some other type of plastic that bolt on over the cases to protect them. Also have bobbins and axle sliders front and rear. Mine say FZ09 on them, but I see T-Rex is now selling them with the FJ09 logo cut into the side pucks. ogri
i'm looking for crash bars proper. anyone has em on the FJ yet?I installed LSL frame sliders. They are solid aluminum and well made, but don't seem popular on this on this forum. STUFF EVERYTHING - I'VE ALWAYS GOT MY BIKE!
fattraxx
I have the OES sliders and they do work as a highway foot rest on longer rides. As far as drop protection goes, my bike was recently knock over onto its left side in a parking lot by a careless driver. The OES frame slider never touched the ground. The left hand guard and left engine cover over the stator hit the ground and took all the abuse. The left front axle slider got a little scuffed also. After I get the stator cover replaced I'll be installing engine case covers or case sliders. I'll still retain the OES frame sliders for added protection in case of a crash at speed and also as my highway foot rests!
Premium Member steveb Posted October 14, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted October 14, 2015 Looking at OES site and they list sliders for the FZ but not the FJ I'm confident they fit both. I don't believe they've taken the time to re-label the webpage yet. If you look at the Shogun and the Graves slider websites they have re-labeled as fitting both. They use the same mounting points. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/graves-frame-sliders-yamaha-fz-09-fj-09 http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shogun-frame-sliders-yamaha-fz-09-fj-09 What I'm not positive about (though I believe it's most likely true) is whether the OES fork sliders and swingarm sliders fit the same on the FJ as the FZ-09. Can anyone confirm this?
Premium Member alejandro Posted October 14, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted October 14, 2015 I got the T-Rex stuff. It looks great, should offer great protection, and it was definitely convenient and economical. (The only caveat: the shop that installed it for me said that one of the bolts was the wrong length...) I emails OES before buying mine and they said FZ and FJ were the same ones. I bought mine on eBay as listed for a FZ09, works just fine on the FJ09
Premium Member peporter Posted October 15, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted October 15, 2015 i'm looking for crash bars proper. anyone has em on the FJ yet?I have the SW Motech crash bars, and love them. You can prop your feet on them if you wish, hang foot pegs off them if you want to, and hang lights off of them like I did. Others say they are expensive, I say they are cheap insurance.....and they look great. Got the lights from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HA14OK4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 and the mounting brackets also http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TXS0SS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 . The switch is from Amazon also http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TXS0SS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 .Have fun!

traceroz
I fitted the SW Motech bars to my ride. I have always been a fan of their gear, it is well made, and fits the bike perfectly.
motomachines
Hepco & Becker's bars come included with an additional 'crash pad' that helps absorb any impacts. http://www.motomachines.com
