  1. Wow D-Man! Is it your blistering hot (literally + pun) tarmac and/or you pushing to the edge? Are you an old speed demon? I thought you said you were slowing down despite flirting more with the rev limiter? I'm not too worried about duplicating your polymer wear. I'm too timid due to my condition. I often catch myself riding like it's raining! I like to think I'm just super smooth. πŸ˜‚
  2. Are the 5's near as good as the 6? I have a fresh set of 5 waiting for the current T32 to evaporate. Should of happened 3/4 way thru last season as usual but for my reduced mileage due to reasons covered during it. I have a set of RS3 in attic stock too, so I'm set for the next two seasons. A fresh pair of S22 black buns are also anxious to get on the VTR but the current set are wearing almost as well as the T32. Now the new S23 that are making a big splash...
  3. Congrats on your new Wheels The bridgez you don't like are the 32s the t-32s? Regardless they can be different from the two other brands you quoted I'd suggest if you have room to drop the rear and lower the pressure in the rear if necessary before the front going below 32 if you want any mileage anyway 😁
  4. More details / pics please. I have the same charger. I see other non-oem wires but nothing attached to the battery terminals; or are they connected off another circuit? I have several taps coming off the battery. Cold weather start-up was always funny that you run the lights. Difficult to do with auxiliary driving lights on an FJ...
  5. Scott I can't figure out what your buddy is riding it's a newer one with the green space frame obviously a Kawasaki I can just see the top of the blower some close-up shots would be appreciated What do you figure your fastest red 15 is putting out $105 at the rear wheel with about 62? pounding feet? It's nice having a buddy you cync with! Bend over backwards to keep them in the game and hopefully he'll reciprocate How many times have you been on those roads can you count over the years That's why having CTE is fun because old roads can be new again I rewatch the season of MotoGP and it's a new race every time Tomorrow again it's supposed to get up to 54 and sunny But I think the bottom is going to drop out after tomorrow hopefully we won't be in a deep freeze 10 days again that was enough for anyone over the age of 60 and you dream of being somewhere warm you can ride
  6. What can I say, I'm a Male Gear Whore. In 1973 I was a founding member of the Cali Contingent of the ATGATT Cabal... Let the flaming begin!
  7. You are lucky you managed to put the helmet on with your glasses on Removal was another matter if I understand you right Now isn't that freaking crazy?!!! My first flip front was a HJC Symax I bought into 17 years ago https://ridermagazine.com/2007/01/09/hjc-sy-max-motorcycle-helmet-review/ Now with my powers of recall I think I've had seven flip-fronts since then And I've checked out at least that many And not one of them had an issue with a pilot doning their helmet with their shades on. And then came drop down interior sun shades, which usually are too light You should be able to lean against your bike on a nice day with a breeze and have a smoke after popping off your brain bucket and putting it on the mirror or even leaving it on if it's cold Without worrying about your eyeglasses The HJC RHPA 91 Carbon is the tits imo But they're a right hip replacement cost too And if you can't ride why do you need one
  8. As I've stated before, you can wash, dry and oil the OEM paper filter as well. Dawn dish soap, a tooth brush, gentle compressed air, and K&N filter oil. 2 Clean & lubes, maybe 3 if youre really careful is the limit...
  9. Adjustable pegs have been covered here en nauseum Do a search
  10. LMK I forgot you got a MT10 which probably gets worse mileage than your Busa!
  11. Very cool and hot at the same time I don't know if my heart could take it Literally Yeah that looks like a nice little gentleman's Express for the desert you need that extra tank! At speed what did you get maybe 38 miles per gallon Or Did you drop the rear sprocket a few teeth cus lordy that thing has enough torque to get into sixth and just idle along I'm sure you ran a valentine and other gizmos back in the day I had a cobra hideaway CB, which was as small as you could fit in like 79 with the added channels to get up to 40. I boosted it to 5 Watts with a k1 tuned monofilament antenna so I walked all over anybody close It just had the handset with two-way speaker with all the controls in it just like the CHP mounties I braced the antenna but I still at "Speed" it was scary I ended up shortening it a bit too much but damn that's all we had in those days for motorcyclists I did also have one of the original what was it fuzz busters And up until recently I've always run a Rd I'm sure you had all sorts of neat stuff on that thing and probably maybe still do on what you're running now The Hideaway and a couple of k1 are still on the shelf Did you have a cooling vest that you ran the one and a half gallons through? And maybe a mister? The little one and a half pint pressure bottles you can buy 10 for 20 or something are great just pull it out of the tank bag and whack yourself I also have one that pumps up with ice in a jacket. it has long small diameter high pressure hose connected to an 1/8" little brass adjustable spray nozzle with a little rotary valve I just shoot in my upper quadrant When you hit your face just remember to take your glasses off first Soak down your "Headsweat" (I Don't Wear no do-rag) and even your helmet if you're careful with the speakers. I just use a little 16 oz bottle of water and dump it on my shirt under my mesh and sometimes I get hypothermia cuz I run cold to begin with πŸ₯Ά But for the last 40 plus I've managed to survive with 80% humidity here a lot of the summer War baby post more shots of what you're running now close up Maybe start a new thread or in your gallery which I don't know how to get to if you had one LOL
  12. Again if you're pumping the lever which in my opinion doesn't make sense when the Piston gets into the foul end of the bore where all the crap lives and the seals can get torn😎
  13. There are some tricks you learn vacuum bleeding but it's really just the reverse if you're pumping the lever which in my opinion doesn't make sense when the Piston gets into the foul end of the bore where all the crap lives and the seals can get torn
  14. 🚰 Who says vacuum bleeders don't work What do you got to lose to try it I love sucking only, way to fly now the big ones for the cars do suck I also like sucking out and in the coolant https://www.amazon.com/UView-550500-Airlift-Economy-Refiller/dp/B000IHK1VI/ref=asc_df_B000IHK1VI/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312026024613&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=955722400312652292&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9112979&hvtargid=pla-435685370824&psc=1&mcid=ab55154b86883ea683ad3f3092c40850&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2eKtBhDcARIsAEGTG42gKIG2zO-_8I8eZMxDOCNC30cyabF0PkxhbPqHKIxhht4QZW_r_LUaAgGVEALw_wcB https://www.amazon.com/UView-550000-Airlift-Cooling-Checker/dp/B0002SRH5G https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/51225/10002/-1
  15. I'd not bother. What do you need positive pressure for that you can't get from even a battery* operated air compressor? *Which IMO aren't worth the money versus a portable one that connects to your bikes battery. I've had MityVacs for 30+ years and their ilk. Harbor Freight has had a really nice brass unit that was less that the MV before Covid. Now HF junk $ have gone through the roof. Shop around for a vacuum only MV with of course the gauge. See 3 responses for 1 😁
  16. Chicago traffic is terrible and with a bad back, hip and knee Shifting is not an option in a car. My biggest reason for a bike DCT is my left hand LOL.
  17. Thanks brian you're still a kid sort of I'm hoping for many more miles down the road It's just not in the cards for right now.
  18. Having DCT is very attractive to me! Your trips make me very envious!
