  1. if my givi bars touched the ground....i would have already crashed. .....and yes i do agree they are sorta ugly...luckley for me i have gotten used to them.
  2. i have had both the shogun sliders and now the givi bars. never had to use them yet ...but with the shoguns i could put my feet up there like a highway peg for a short time( feet kept sliding off) which was useful. but like scott says about the appearance of the bars...they can be a bit ugly. for me, ugly won over looks for the givi bars for one main reason...ease of adding highway pegs which, for me, are a godsend on long trips. looking to add some lights in the near future so that is where they would get mounted.
  3. sorry @piotrek...must have been off of my meds for that one! Lol never dealt with them other than bike sales...3 times. never made a deal with them because of the silly sales tactics. To bad about brampton powersports changed to honda and there "all or nothing" sales moto. BRP is trying their hand at this now too...hope not because the local dealer here for yamaha, St. Onge will lose a lot of customers if they go all BRP.
  4. OMG...I'm in Canada and i bought my 2016 for 9999 cdn plus tax and license in 2017
  5. @piotrek...those guys are a joke ...i have no idea how they sell bikes. the red one has been there forever and probably has lot rot from sitting. the last time i was there they had a couple of 2013 R6's that they wanted 10k for. i went there to get a year old z900rs and the sales guy told me that the price he was giving me had a discount...it was the list price from 2018!!! he told me i was crazy not to snap it up for that price. that's when i gave him the look, the stare and told him you lost a sale for that type of bs. i asked him if he heard of the internet and what info is there for consumers...he fluffed me off and went back to playing with his RC car on his desk. that is the other reason i didn't buy the FJ09 there...told me list on a 2year old bike...probably the red one in your pick. they are a joke.
  6. i'll second @showmerider on the mc cruise. top of my list santa!
  7. i have the helibars on mine and it sets me right where i wanted to be. looks almost like a stock part
  8. @mingo what dealer in ontario was selling GT's at that price? every ad i have seen is a lot more than 9500us
  9. @1moreroadlooks like you have an awesome pit crew. You have a great excuse now to get some awesome tires!
  10. Anlas Wintergrip Plus M+S i had no idea that anything like this existed. and i live in canada! i prefer my rear tire to be a 137' x 1.25" and my front tire to be two skis. 😎
  11. @wordsmith Going to miss the articles you wrote. You always lived up to your online name...very appropriate name. Had no idea you were that young! Hoping that I can ride until your ripe young age, it would make me feel that I have won the game of life! Don't leave too soon...there is still a lot of knowledge in that mind of yours ...maybe post some writings of your past experiences in motorcycling in the one of the other sections. I would be interested to read them.
  12. Ya I know... it makes getting parts up here in Canada more difficult having to order the stuff from the UK and Europe. But there is quite a bit of stuff available still.
  13. I have been looking for a while here in Canada for a Wednesday night bike/ pound and pint night bike/ something a little different bike. This is what I ended up getting to scratch that "itch". 2007 MT-01 with 8200kms on the dial. Super clean and ready to stomp...and stomp it does! All torque at 3000rpm to 5000rpm. It'll vibrate your eyes out of your sockets if in a certain rev range....but man it has soul. These bikes are different that is for sure. Still handle reasonably well with all fully adjustable suspension and a good set of tires to handle the gobs of torque exiting a turn. Quite an attention getter when stopped with other bikers at the coffee shop.
  14. the same tires i have. you will like them. quality skins.
  15. i also have a penske that was ordered for my style of riding and it works well for me over the stock shock. i had the race tech gold valves put in my front forks and also work well for me...i push it a bet here and there and seems like i can't outride the suspension. but all the suspension in the world won't help the stock tires if you still have them on. congrats on the new bike! @ecoker21
  16. I do the same. I could not believe how much air I took out after my first ride on the bike when I got it. I thought I needed stainless steel lines right from the beginning but the bleeding made a big difference along with the HH pads.
  17. I use one of those green abrasive scrub pads for cleaning your pots and pans mixed with some citris degreaser. You can wrap the little pad around the pipe and pull it back and forth to get all around the pipes. Haven't polished them yet but it sounds like a winter project to me.
  18. @CumuloNimbus i have the same ones with about 5000km on them so far and they are holding up great. They also are better for vibrations than the stock ones.
  19. welcome @cdekam. you will find lots of info here for your bike. as for the seat terry's custom seats in tennessee is what i use now and is custom to you. i love mine. sargent was good too but it did take a while to break in.
