  1. Welcome to the forum @Jfundo. Myself and a few others have sent our seats to Terry's custom seats in Tennessee and have had excellent results. I have a Sargent, which is much better that the stock '16 seat, but the seat being redone by Terry is head and shoulders above the Sargent. As for your wife's bike, my wife went from a 2015 Honda CB300f to a 2016 Kawasaki Versys 650LT and absolutely loves it. I just added a lowering kit, heated grips with some handlebar risers and she is good to go...nice power for her abilities and super comfy for all day rides with great wind protection.
  2. Learn how to work kid. put a screw in it....you're welcome😈
  3. where are you and the bike located?...that will help some of us figure that out. from what i have seen location seems to dictate prices.
  4. good to see your still sniffing around the motorcycle forums Wordy. didn't think you disappeared that easily
  5. Disappointed in the amber turn signal brightness because it shares space with the white led's. Wouldn't recommend them. Stick with solid amber ones that are 3wire for the fronts. My 2 wire rears are pretty good because all the led's are amber.
  6. beware of these clamps on the Givi bars...i had a hell of a time getting them tight. i thought for sure i was going to break the bolt. used a bit of hockey tape to build the bar up a tiny bit and they eventually got tight enough. they do work great though on the Givi bars, so many spots to mount them to.
  7. I have nothing but great things to say about Terry's seat. I went from Deals gap to home, north of Toronto, 1339kms door to door and that was stops from gas tank to gas tank. I could have rode more if it wasn't for having to go to sleep. I have highway pegs installed which is a great complement to his seat. For the price....nothing compares in my mind. My Sargent was good...but this is much better.
  8. it definitely appears that way. that's why i did the test on the battery to confirm my suspicion.
  9. And you would be correct. 3 wires. When I hold the ground to a battery and hold the DLR wire to the positive, the white light comes on. When I put the turn signal wire on the positive with the ground on negative...I get nothing. When I have DRL + and ground - and add the wire for the amber it goes completely amber flashing with no white DLR. No so much when i am connected to the bike connector.. obviously the bike does something a little different when you hit the signal button. I am no electrical genius there for I am stumped. These are the little buggers
  10. Ok...I can be cheap some times and I could be taking one up the hoop tonight. I bought these cheap turn signals and the relays for LED'S and all I get is a white DLR and a mix of white and amber turn signals flashing...is there a know fix for LEDs on a fj09 or are these just shite? I dont know how to include a small vid
  11. that is a nice little system ...can the info on screen be changed to read in english or other languages? man ...looking at the conversion of an Yen to a dollar is mind blowing. hard to get my head around the conversion rate.
  12. Did she just give you a purple nurple?? That's not good social distancing.
  13. I just picked one up myself at the toronto motorcycle show. I was set on the gt air and gt air II and once i put on the RPHA 70 i was amazed at the fit and weight and the quality of the optics in the drop down sun visor. the price was close to half of and arai i liked too. i never thought i would buy and HJC helmet for the street after owning a few of their snowmobile helmets....didn't like them much
  14. welcome from Canada @Steve D
  15. Resurrecting this topic....because I use the search function 😉 So I’m asking my fellow canadian riders where they buy their chain and sprockets from...not to fussy on which brand because they all make quality chains IMO. 14,000kms and I have a few kinked links even though I lube it a fair amount with Maxima chain wax, maybe that’s my problem...not sure though.
  16. Coming off of the 900, how do you like the power difference moving to the 390? They do look like a lot of fun
  17. I am a fan of the SW-Motech Engage bag also. It seems as though it was made for the tracer/FJ. Holds everything I need for a days ride.
  18. So I am getting a little bored with the silver and blue wheels...would like to know if anyone has used any wrap kits on their bikes. Any of the sites that I have seen are all rendering images and no actual photos. I get a little skeptical on how they actually look. Looking for some insight if anyone has used on of these kits...or something of your own design.
  19. Even though I like what you have done with the clean up of the rear of your new bike...I think the best improvement in the rear is your choice in rear tire!
  20. Congrats! If I didn't already have my 2016 FJ all set up, I would be into a new GT myself. I have to put at least 50,000kms on it before I would even justify a new one...they're so damn good!
  21. We have a 2016 versys 650LT in our stable along with the FJ09. The versys is a great bike and I enjoy riding it from time to time...but my FJ, which is very similar to the Tracer GT, excels in many categories, especially the power. With a couple of tweaks these bikes don't take too much to make them great for each of our individual needs.
