  1. I ordered this one https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZPYGXB5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Fit perfectly and was about 1cm thick .
  2. For me it just didn't feel right. When I would shift under heavy throttle you would feel a noticeable deceleration, as in it would cut ignition for too long. I also had someone else ride it that was more familiar with the QS and he also agreed there was something wrong with it.
  3. I've disabled my QS with this method and have ridden it for almost 2 years now with QS off. Out of curiosity I tried to turn QS back on with this method but couldn't get it to turn on. Anybody have any thing to add?
  4. I did it and voted. What I noticed is that at first push on bike there is a good amount of resistance and I can hear it pull the chain tight. This is after sitting overnight and therefore the clutch would be about as dry and plates would be as compressed together as they would ever be. After first roll back and forth it then seemed to lessen up on resistance and rolled more easily. Still a little there but much less than at first. Hope this helps.
  5. For any that don't want Quickshifter you can disable by holding gear shift lever up for 10-12 seconds when turning on the key. I'm pretty sure this is it. Please correct if not.
  6. Here is a link to the Owners Manual. https://www.mediafire.com/file/ztol49lszldw0gt/Tracer_900GT_owners_Manual.pdf/file PM me for link to Shop Service manual.
  7. Was there on my 2019 when I got it but I've since thrown it out.
  8. I can't say for sure but I think this (MTT09DALB) is the same as American model and would use same manual. I've noticed that some of illustrations in my manual show old LED dash. Guess it's just mistakes in publishing. Copied from another post. I personally like having the paper book. Find it easier to read. I do also have the PDF file if anyone wants it just PM me and you can have it. It's not searchable but if that is important to you here is where you can buy one at what I'd say is a good price. $17.95 for digital download. https://servicemanualwarehouse.com/yamaha-2020-tracer-900-gt-service-manual/#product-reviews Here is a paper copy but it isn't bound like my original. $40. Has some cheap plastic holding it together. http://www.service-shop-repair-manual.com/yamaha-tracer-900-gt-tracer-900-part-lit-11616-32-10-service-shop-repair-manual/ And here is OEM at $78. https://www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/LIT-11616-32-10 PM me for PDF.

  10. I went for the Penske raised by about 15mm also in the rear. Traction Dynamics AK20 in the front. Major difference! Height is adjustable on the shock but no remote preload available. Very easy to adjust it by hand though. Have your guy check out the Penske and give you his thoughts.
  11. First off welcome to Forum and a great new bike. 1. When I got mine I went over it with a torque wrench and found no problems. The chain is something that many on Forum have debated and I found it to be a little on the tight side. 2. The stock tires aren't the greatest so I'd say use them up as much as you feel comfortable with while learning the bike and go with the Roadsmart 3. I've been using them for about 3 sets now and love them. Very neutral steering and they don't seem to change for the worse as they wear out. I've been getting about 4000 to 5000 a set out of them in NC mountains. Live much of the year about 1 hour from Deal's Gap. I'm a moderately aggressive 200 pound 60 yr old rider. 3. The suspension didn't feel very good to me so I went and spent the money on Traxion Dynamics front AK20 cartridges and springs and a Penske rear shock set for my weight. Made a huge difference. I think it is money well spent but was pricey. 4. Haven't used bags much but maybe 8000 miles out of 30,000 on bike so haven't found any major problems with them. Some have said that screws for lock mechanism have come loose and have re-tightened and locktited them and all was fine. I once lost a bag from another bike so I'm thinking of trying to find a way to secure better if possible. I've put on some of the standard types of engine protection which is cheap insurance against breaking an engine sidecase. Also did ECU flash with full exhaust. Other small changes, such as Handlebars and levers, can be done to tune it to fit you.
  12. Warm it with a hair dryer to make it easy to peal off. WD-40 will then get the residue.
  13. Yamaha B5C-26142-00-00 - GUARD, BRUSH 2 | Partzilla.com Buy Yamaha B5C-26142-00-00 - GUARD, BRUSH 2. This OEM part is... If you go to Partzilla and look up the part you can then see what other bikes it also fits. The hand guards are unique to the Tracer and don't appear to fit any other models.
  14. I've seen similar ones (not those specific models) and can say they are very dim. So dim that I would not recommend putting them on if you care about safety. If you don't care if they are visible but only how cool they look then go for it.
  15. Actually not very easy. Had to get down low and close to it with a small flashlight to see mark on the moving part of tensioner which is mostly covered by nut and washer on one side and axle head on other.
  16. These are modern o-ring chains most are running now. I hope you're being facetious. I carry a can of lube on the bike. I lube it when I think of it and it may be 300 miles it may be 1000 mile. What do I care? If it wears out in 20,000 miles vs. 25,000 miles it doesn't matter to me I'll replace it. $160 for chain and sprockets. So what! I don't worry about the small amounts I have to pay for the pleasure.
  17. Actually I replaced chain and sprockets about 5000 miles ago and lube it every 500 to 1000 miles. Just dirty (I live on a gravel road) and I almost cleaned it before taking the photos but thought I'd just live with the armchair quarterbacks. I ride! If I need to replace it then I do.
  18. WARNING! Failure!! This adjuster failed!! I did this review 6 months ago and thought all was well. The problem with this type of adjuster is that it has to pull the axle backwards where as the stock adjuster pushes it backwards. The adjuster has a hollow bolt inside it that pulls assembly backwards and this broke. That allowed the axle to come forward and put TOO much slack in the chain. Avoid this type and stick with stock. Stock is a hassle to adjust but it can't fail the way these do. Just got this chain tensioner from Amazon. It says it is for FZ09 and MT09 but in looking at those models swingarms, and a little measuring, I thought it would a very good chance it was the same as Tracer 900GT and it fit perfectly. In mounting it you first have to tighten the 5mm allen screws that lock the section on that hooks over the very rear tip of swingarm. I then loosened the small 2mm allen screws to then insert the big anchoring bolt through the gap as shown in photo #1. I put locktite on that bolt as it will hopefully never need to come apart. After that just put in place(there is a left and right to it), and thread in large bolt to hold it still. I lightly tightened large bolt then tightened 2mm allen screws, which clamp down on large bolt a little, and then tightened large bolt the rest of the way. It's now locked in place. I put the axle back in, adjusted the chain with the 4mm allen screw at back, torque axle and we'll see how it holds up over time and use. In the 4th photo it looks like the part of tensioner that hooks over rear of swingarm may rub against the ring that is against the sprocket when removing rear wheel, but I don't think it will be an issue. It clears it in rotation. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HN2B1DW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  19. Then your Tracer gt in Europe must be different than ours in USA. My key does not appear to have any electronics in it. I know what you are referring to in loosing all connection to ECU. If I were to lose all keys and the Fob for my Kawasaki Concours it would mean I have to buy a new ECU.
  20. What is this "Red key" for? As far as I know the key itself does not communicate with the ECU.
  21. Very cool and thoughtful of you to share it. I don't know how Thingiverse works but if possible maybe a link to it when it is up.
  22. And when you press the set button a secnd light will come on.
  23. What I do is use my favorite parts supplier (partzilla.com) and do a cross reference check on the aftermarket part I'm trying to figure out the fit. Front brake lever https://www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/5VS-83922-00-00?ref=e9940e13667342927f48b4cd63e7205b40d9e7f1 and clutch lever https://www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/B67-83912-00-00?ref=0a619e88951a81b1664f10a7da717f020795ab99
  24. The radiator is the same part # 2PP-12461-00-00 for MT-09 and Tracer GT so it should be a perfect fit. I use Partzilla to compare. This link should take you to their page. https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/yamaha/motorcycle/2020/mt09-mt09lgy/radiator-hose
  25. Mine were Road 5 GT's. I misspoke in post.
