  1. In the end, it was not the switch, but the cable. After 17000 km it was a bit loose. Not much, but the clutch handle had now some play and actuated the switch at every bump in the road. Not something you look at all the time. Tightened the cable with the knurled knob at the handle a bit more, and all worked again as advertised.
  2. It is a bad design, for starters located at the wrong rh side. You can’t really switch and drive at the same time. And guess what, Yamaha decided to use it on the new Tracer 9 and 9GT as well. 😡
  3. Just a heads up. After the brake switch recall we had this year, I am now suffering of the same symptoms caused by the clutch switch. Random disengage or unable to engage. Wiggeling the clutch lever solves it temporarely. Switch will be replaced under warranty (I still have 1 month warranty…). Maybe I am just unlucky, maybe more of us will get the same failure.
  4. Used the RoadSmart 3 on my previous Honda. Worked well enough, but needed time to warm up. Which they don’t in our winter. So changed to the Michelin Road 5’s, which were as expected. As said, all recent mayor brand tires are very good, certainly in comparison to 10 years ago. And those were not bad at all. So you can’t really miss, differences are small and also the personal opinions on them.
  5. So do I. Not “for ages” 😉 but over a year or so. No issues.
  6. My 2019 GT is max 840 mm wide, so it should fit your back gate.
  7. At first I had an issue as well with the Evo-Techs, but found that you have to use the original bushing from the stock levers. Otherwise there is too much play. No problems since then.
  8. I used the Evo-Tech handles. Working perfectly. Using the short levers, but that is personal. Link
  9. It is a theft protection, but a lousy one. Removed it also.
  10. Here in the Netherlands, the letters from Yamaha will be send december 8th. I assume this is the same for whole Europe.
  11. I have upgraded from C3 to C4 Pro over a year ago. The sizes DO differ, M is now L (as I remember), so you might have a smaller size. But that is something your supplier would be able to confirm. C4 and C4 Pro do not differ in size, only configuration. But the spot on top is something I feel as well, although that is where I have a sore spot as well on my head. So not sure if this is for everyone.
  12. My Bagster is also waterproof, using it for 8 months now. In rainy Europe.
  13. Makes three of us already 😊. Live just across our local pond in Lelystad.
  14. My dealer puts it on the centre stand and just clamps the front wheel and lifts the table. No problems ever. Yamaha (again) extra cautious?
  15. So how difficult/easy is it to install. Website does not provide installation information.
  16. I had the same experience with all resistors in place. Normal turn blinking was OK, but all 4 hazard blinkers together got just 2 blinks, that’s all. So I changed the relais for a special LED relais and got rid of the resistors. They warm up and just are not needed in this setup. LED relais are easy to get and plug and play with the correct connector.
  17. Made the first trip today with the new seat. Feels much better as the original seat, forms more to the bum so the pressure is more divided over a larger area. After one and a half hour felt a bit sore on the sit-bones, but had that always, also on the previous bike with gel inserts. So no surprise there. Has to do with the static position while riding. Driving on winding roads shifts your weight from side to side and has less impact on the sitting parts extending the time until it becomes uncomfortable. In conclusion very happy with the upgrade 😊
  18. Got the new saddle today. The backseat needed a bit of encouragement to settle, but now it all fits. First impression is that it is softer than the original seat. Have not made a testride as it is raining. No need to get wet. Will try this weekend or otherwise next Monday driving to work.
  19. Well, you just beat me to it! Ordered the same seat today, but with "Tracer GT" written on the backseat. Got it cheaper though, with a discount and no shipping fee. Not by ebay, but direct from the store. Order today, receive it tomorrow, advantage of living in the Chromeburner country 😀.
  20. Seats on my previous bike (Honda CBF) had gelpads inside. Seats were from Topsellerie, french manufacturer. Never had any problems concerning temperatures, I live in the Netherlands, so the temperatures varies during the year. As Cromeburner resides in my country (1,5 hour drive, that is considered a long drive in my small country 😊), I can easely pick one up. But as I am accustomed to the gelpad and have no reference to the Bultex foam, still not sure.
  21. Did anyone ordered the gel pads for the seat? Bagster states that they are the most comfortable choice for longer rides. All ready seats are offered with only the extra Bultex foam, no gel option. It is of course a very personal choice but I am curious about your opinions.
