  1. Won't help, it's the backet that's the problem, not the rear pegs. Naturally I could lower the fronts, but not enough to make it worth while. Added to the fact that I'm already scraping the feelers regularly, not a good idea.
  2. Bumping this as my boy can now reach the pegs and wants to ride with but I can't get my foot up without the heel interfering. These brackets are absolute unobtainable right now. Even if someone would be able to let me borrow them for a bit this winter so I can mock up something, that would be great.
  3. I remember when that popped up, I didn't get there fast enough, plus I've gotten so many counterfeit items off ebay I just stopped trusting the platform all together.
  4. Now imagine paying 426 USD for road 5's! Road 6's were 60 more. I did get a 60 dollar rebate though.
  5. No one knows yet, for either the hinson route or the updated basket. Not enough miles on either to say definitively.
  6. Nothing to really watch out for major, but there was a recall for the front brake switch, nothing crazy but dealer replaced. The OEM chain, if still original, is really hit or miss, some the o rings are garbage and start tearing out early. There's a "gronk" you can search the forums for that, which isn't a problem, but can be rectified if it bothers you. General consensus is to get the first valve check taken care of earlier then the oem suggested 24k miles. Somewhere in the 18-20k range for margin of error as they like to be pretty tight on the first interval. Don't spin up your rear tire while stationary, it will throw a CEL that will lock you out of the menu's unless it's cleared, not a bid deal, can be reset with any obd2 scanner but you do need the 4pin adapter to connect.
  7. I don't have the ability to measure but it wouldn't surprise me in the least. They didn't bother to make the bike perfectly upright with the centerstand either.
  8. Every day to work, she gets a lot of head turners when I ride with her.
  9. @piotrek No i didn't because i'm lazy and mainly my wife's stupid pink bike ruined my winter, but that's another story. I wussed out and bought the updated basket to hopefully be install this winter but who knows at this point. My plan is/was to replace with the updated basket, then modify the old with the Hinson bushings set as backup. never did find full poly dampers.
  10. @Wintersdark Did you need a basket carrier to take that off? I've been able to get by with wood/whatever I have laying around so far but I know the day will come.
  11. And just like someone who says using a brake to scrub off speed is a bad idea, also dumb. There's a lot of dumb here, but I still like ya'll. ❤️
  12. I see redline 1/2 of my shifts and keep the revs above 6k pretty much always. What we are trying to relate to you is that engine breaking is NOT the end all answer. While it may be enough for SOME people, others need additional assistance via the brake of their choice. It's also about riding style, the bike, the tune, the exhaust, the line. My bike, especially after the tune and exhaust, engine braking is pretty much null in the higher revs.
  13. Not much engine braking on these cp3's if you've been tuned. As far as I know Bob from Kevin, he may be the bloke that runs 17/43 sprockets and keeps it under 6k. 😆
  14. When I moved to the tracer I found the rear brakes quite poor as well. Swapped for hh front and rear and that took care of it. I also use make my rear brake quite a bit for cornering and pretty much exclusively in town stop/go.
  15. Damnit I hate people who don't use cruise control on the interstate. Just had some jack off today do that, I'd get up to their b pillar then they'd speed up, I'd move back over to the right, then 15-10 mins later here they come drifting back 10 miles under the speed limit, move to pass then they speed up. Repeat at nasusoum. Don't be a dick. As far as adaptive cruise control on a motorcycle, meh, I could see it on a more expensive touring bike, and kinda sadly that's what the tracer is becoming bloated with lifestyle creap and price. Less and less value sadly, but I'm sure they'll hit the reset button and make a new stripped down version after a couple of years again.
  16. Love my SW micro: https://www.tracer900.net/topic/200-what-did-you-do-to-your-fj-tracer-gt-today/?do=findComment&comment=123139 You pay for it though.
  17. You'll gain more from the weight lost vs the OEM than any dyno is going to prove. You'll probably see more performance donating a kidney or skipping breakfast before your ride.
  18. Or just shove a rag in there, no need for a silly tool.
  19. @The Donkey I'd say you got your money out of that tire! Also your lucky being down in Winona, usually we drive down via Welch before hitting the ABC roads, that stretch between the cities and hastings is a rough boring one.
  20. New tires came in, I'm going to ride the current a tish longer just to see what happens. But overall pretty even wear 6k miles.
  21. Miata is always the answer. If I remotely fit in one, I would have one. Lots of aftermarket fun with those as well!
  22. I think @Wintersdark replaced or beefed his up. IIRC that kickstand is hollow. I'll have to re-evaluate as well.
