  1. Normal operation...when the coolant/bike cools down, coolant will be drawn back into the radiator from the overflow bottle. If the bike is not overheating you are fine.
  2. Same here...installed last night and it is perfect!! Took about 15 minute to install and everything was great. 👍
  3. Yes run it with the cap off until the Thermostat opens...you will know because the coolant will start circulating and the level will drop. Keep filing until it stabilizes and put the cap back on.
  4. Just ordered a kit.....can't wait to use it with my Seth Laam seat (Stock pan). It still has a bit of forward slope and this may make it perfect
  5. My 20 generally takes two tries on the starter button to start when it has sat for a while but not always. Been like that since new. After that first start it starts up immediately the rest of the day.
  6. Me either...that exhaust on the new one is beyond hideous and in talking with Ivan, he probably won't have a tune for the bike as nobody can access the processor.
  7. No gear whine or oil burning of any kind on my 20 GT. So far this bike has been stellar.
  8. I am free Sunday if you want to meet up at the Polka Dot Drive in around 11:30am and have lunch. You can certainly ride my bike as well.
  9. So just a follow up on my bike with a couple pics. I got my ECU back from Ivan today and got my bike back together. Just came back from a ride and I am over the moon. This tune is perfect. A - mode is smooth, throttle response is crisp and the bike pulls smooth and hard all the way to red line. All throttle snatch is eliminated and its just a joy to drive. The exhaust with the baffle in sounds great....just loud enough to sound great without being obnoxious. I absolutely love this bike! Pics of exhaust, etc.
  10. I went from a Sagent to the Seth Laam. Sent my stock seat into him and it took about 6 weeks. It pretty much solves all the issues including the forward lean and its much much better then stock but I won't go so far to say that it's perfect. I don't think any seat is though....
  11. I got my Seth Laam seat about a week and a half ago and promptly set off on a 3 day trip along the Mississippi river. The seat itself is beautiful and working with Seth is very good but you have to call his cell or you will never hear from him. He does answer his cell phone! Comfort wise I don't think there is a better seat for the Tracer 900 GT. That being said I don't think its perfect by any means but for my bony arse, nothing is really. You can put long days in the saddle for sure but I still experienced some level of soreness after say 180 miles. The difference on this seat was that if you re-adjust or move around the soreness goes away. There was also no lingering soreness after you stopped and rested for a while at say a gas stop and got back on the bike. I give it an 8.5 out of 10 and for the money it's a fantastic seat!
  12. Well, finally got my ECU out and off to Ivan for a reflash and I decided in the mean time, that I would put on the Black Widow full exhaust I ordered ahead of time (300mm canister). What I thought was going to be a relatively simple job was a complete pain in the ass! I generally dislike exhausts that have all separate pieces and this was no exception! The quality of the exhaust was very good but getting it lined up without the collector hitting the oil pan was an exercise in patience!!! i pretty much had to bolt it all up semi snug and use a shim between the exhaust and the oil pan and use a rubber mallet on the exhaust to get it to settle. In the end The canister has perfect clearance and I have a bout 1/8" clearance between the collector and the oil pan. Looks great but a one hour job turned into 3. I guess for the money its a nice exhaust though....lol
  13. I have a Madstad on mine and at the angle I need the windshield for it to work, my handguards baaaarely touch the screen at full lock. I haven't done a thing about it and its not worth doing anything about it quite honestly. Ride on!
  14. A leaky injector(s) can cause this issue right after you shut it down or the next time the pump pressurizes during the next start. I had this same situation on a triumph Tiger 800. Ran some redline fuel injection cleaner in a tank of gas and no more issue.
  15. Agreed...love mine and great company with typically quick shipping. The levers are much better then the EVotech's IMO.
  16. Yep.....fans kick on around 220-221.....normal for a lot of bikes quite honestly. It shouldn't overheat though.....
  17. Interesting. Yeah I have had many Ivan ECU flashes and even a couple of his jet kits. He is the man. My old FZ-09 flash was fantastic. Seth has been great quite honestly. Very nice guy...very busy. He called me Friday after about 6 weeks which was the expected lead time and will be shipping Tomorrow. Never had a custom seat so I pray its good, lol.
  18. Its usually not the gear switch but the clutch or brake safety switches....but again, if it works in 6th, that would not be the issue. I am sending my ECU to Ivan in a few weeks and I may leave cruise as is. Already got my Black widow exhaust waiting to go on too. On the seat front, I like the sargent and its better then stock but is in no way perfect. So, I decided to send my stock seat off to Seth Laam for a custom set up. He called me yesterday and I should have it by the end of next week. I hope this is the end of it, lol. How is the Seat Concepts??
  19. Yep he only uses your stock seat pan and right now he is about 6 weeks out. He seems like a very nice guy!!
  20. I will do when I get it...Seth is supposed to be calling this week. I am taking a 3 day trip on 9/10-9/12 so I will give a good review.
  21. All good points and I understand completely! I do have a short puig racing screen but I find the wind noise to be too excessive. I ran the stock screen with my puig spoiler for a while and it was very smooth but very noisey. The madstad solves all issues with noise and turbulence so I just can't bring myself to change it, lol. Cruising along at 65 with no noise, visor up, no bugs on the helmet and being able to hear my music is bliss for me, haha. Ugly as a mofo though, lol
  22. That is true.....but I am not wanting to change screens all the time. The Madstad works awesome for me in all conditions.
