  1. Yep you are right for sure. Its funny because I find the Puig touring screen to be uglier then the Madstad...I think it makes the bike look like an alien, haha. But I am 100% for whatever works for any given person👍 On that note, I have kind of given up making the bike look pretty. It is not the best looking bike on the planet and this time around and I am making mods that will make the bike work on a long ride. So with the Madstad, I have a Seth Laam seat coming, lol. So it may even be more ugly but man I will be riding in complete comfort (I hope)! If I want pretty and cool I ride my 2010 Ducati1098 Streetfighter, haha
  2. You will spend a lot of money chasing different screens...believe me I know, lol. At the end of the day, the Madstad is the clear winner so just buy that instead of spending on several different screens, hehe.
  3. I am VERY happy with my 24" Madstad and Puig wind deflector. It is quiet and smooth in all conditions except when you are behind a big semi but even then its not bad. I can have my visor up at 75 plus mph and its calm. I am glad I gave it another chance because I would not change it for anything. Even on hot days I get enough airflow around the shield that I stay cool in my mesh jacket. I have attached a couple crappy pics. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but between this and the Seth Laam seat I have coming, I should be able to enjoy some long days in the saddle! For reference I am 5' 11" and I look over the shield still.
  4. Sent my stock seat to Seth Laam for some magic treatment. Sargent on the bike now and its good but could be better. Never had a custom seat so let's do this, lol.
  5. I typically run 36 rear and 34 front on all of my tires/bikes.
  6. Sargent on my 2020: - 5 - Way more comfy then stock - 4 - Slope is less but it still has some although it's not an issue. Although now that I have my stock seat laying around I think I am going to send it to Seth Laam and get a custom seat.
  7. My new 2020 brakes were the same and they got much better over the first 100 miles. I would say they are good brakes but not Great by any means.
  8. The Puig clip on wind deflector worked to eliminate the buffeting on my stock screen but not the noise. I ended up with a madstad AND the wind deflector and it's pure bliss! Not the prettiest thing but 75-80 MPH with your face shield up and no buffeting is amazing, lol.
  9. Welcome aboard! Have fun exploring on the Tracer...it's truly a great sport tourer!
  10. I ride in A mode all the time on my 2020 and don't find it touchy at all! Maybe I am used to it but I cannot stand the soft throttle response in Standard. Maybe its because because my other bike is a 2010 Ducati 1098 Streetfighter, lol. That bike compromises nothing and does not tolerate putting around town, hahah.
  11. I just put a Sargent on mine and my search is over. I like it a lot and its WAAAAY more comfy then stock on longer rides.
  12. My 2020 starts in A mode or whatever mode I left it in and its a stock ECU.....They must have had a programming change somewhere along the way.
  13. Welcome aboard! Where in MI are you? I ride up to Southwest MI a lot....:)
  14. Installed my Sargent seat on my GT and promptly rode up to Road America for the WSB Races, etc. About 210 Miles each way and the seat is WAAAAYYY better then stock. I am very happy now. The seat combined with the madstad is just brilliant. What an amazing bike overall!
  15. For what it's worth I have had Ivan's flashes on a lot of my bikes and my last bike was a Ninja 1000 that still had the Cat, etc. Bike ran perfect and had no issues as Ivan said it would when I asked. Not sure if there is any issue at all on your bike because other then the vibes it runs good correct? Another thing to check for the Vibes issue is the torque on the motor mount bolts.
  16. Have you considered putting on an exhaust and eliminating the Cat? The bike may run better overall. Combine that with a TB sync I think.
  17. Same for me! They will come in handy on the ride up to Elkhart Lake for world superbike next weekend!
  18. I will say I bought the Evotech levers and the brake is perfect but the clutch side I was not happy about at all. The part that engages the Cruise switch is not right and i had to adjust the clutch with very little free play to get it to work and even then if you barely touched the clutch, it would disengage. My soultion was to get clutch lever from AVDB Moto and the clutch lever is perfect and made for the bikes with CC. Adjustable / Foldable clutch lever for YAMAHA MT10 FZ10 2016 - 2018 Adjustable / Foldable clutch lever for YAMAHA MT-10 FZ-10 2016 - 2018
  19. I have had both...a modded 2014 N1K and I now have a 2020 TracerGT. I absolutely love the tracer for longer distance riding. A Madstad screen and a soon to arrive Sargent seat will be a big part of that. I like the triple....a lot......its not as fast but it has a lot of character and torque. For me the Ninja is a close second but not as all day comfy as the Tracer. It looks better without a doubt, lol. Strangely enough I find the handling of the Tracer to be more spirited and lively. Turn in is quick and light unlike the Ninja. I also like the suspension. Its enough to have fun on but it also soaks everything up and a long day doesn't wear you out. You can't go wrong with either one but for an overall sport touring bike, the Tracer GT wins IMO....just don't look at it a lot...cause you know, it's kinda ugly, lol.
  20. Just ordered a set today....this is gonna be a big help!
  21. I run 36 rear and 34 front all the time on most of my bikes and it seems to work very well overall.
  22. Ain't that the truth!! Here in Indiana and the Midwest in general, we have two types of roads...straight and straighter, lol 😄
