  1. bwringer, Don't know if you have installed FJR pegs on yours yet, but these really helped the foot vibes on mine! You probably didn't notice in the short time you rode mine last summer but I like 'em. And, I've stood on them quite a bit without any disastrous results, so far!🤞 https://www.ebay.com/itm/133148490553?fits=Make%3AYamaha&hash=item1f0044bb39:g:edcAAOSwT6pVued~&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4KLp%2BAy%2FdR7gsitytl8L1ZCxVUVnkco1JyX
  2. I agree! That's why I normally buy a "project" bike for the winter months. This year it's a 1982 Suzuki GS1100E! For me, turning wrenches on a classic bike is better than sitting and staring out the window at snow or salt covered roads. Plus, I get a new addition to the stable, if I keep it!
  3. So...........I guess everyone else also gets to do some searching for the solution??????🤔
  4. I have used it on rainy days! I think thats what it is designed for??? Less throttle response = less rear wheel slippage possibly?
  5. Electrical tape is your friend! Try wrapping a couple wraps around it to "enlarge" the part that plugs in. I've even used an o-ring under the metal contacts to make it a tighter fit!
  6. I remove any Kenda tires from a motorcycle before I'll even roll it into my garage! Much less actually ride a bike with them on it! Just my $.02 Hope they work well for you.
  7. Try any good bearing supply house. They should be able to fix ya' up! Someone like Applied Industrial, Motion Industries, etc.
  8. Bumping this to the top with a new price of $90.00
  9. From a 2020 Tracer 900 GT in like new condition with all mounting hardware included. New price is $185.00 + freight. Buy this one for $100 and you pay shipping from 40504. Weight should be approx. 6 lbs. Box size is 24" X 18" X 5". Send a PM if interested.
  10. I just ordered a set of Shinko Verge X2 for my bike to try. I know they will not be comparable to the major brands as far as mileage, but I do my own tire changes, and for $262 for the set I figured why not??? I run Shinkos' on my vintage bike just because I like new, fresh rubber, as I only ride it about 4K miles per year, and the Shinkos' last that long, giving me new tires every season. I will be doing some aggressive "following" in about 3 weeks in southern Indiana, and we shall see how they perform on a Tracer.
  11. Pleeeeease, don't use dish soap! That stuff contains a ton of salt (added to soften the dishwater) and will corrode your wheels. Besides a lifetime supply of good tire lube is only about $20.
  12. This list has lots of areas on it that I find very boring! I agree that the Dragon only needs to be ridden once each way, and then explore and ride some of the areas' really good roads. Do not miss the Ozarks if you like "high-speed sweepers"!
  13. Installed a cheapo skid plate today. For the $80 price it will do! A lot better than nothing hanging down there. The bolts however.......definitely made out of Chinesium. Going to have to replace all the bolts with something better.
  14. I have found that all the extras that came on the bikes I have purchased, quickly became "must haves" on the next one that I was buying! I've never told myself, "I wish this bike didn't have all these things on it!" Just my .02
  15. Cogswell, In case you did not know. Rocky Mountain ATV has a warehouse and store in Winchester, KY that you can go and pick up parts if they are in stock. (Saves shipping costs also.) Has saved my bacon more than once! Just be sure to call their 800 number to place your order and verify that the part is in Winchester and not Utah!
  16. I just purchased a set of tires for one of my other bikes and the price increased $20 for the set, from Thursday afternoon to Friday morning! Luckily Rocky Mountain ATV M/C does price matching so I did get a small discount. They told me that tire pricing is changing almost daily right now. I guess the lesson here is "if you see a good price, jump on it!"
  17. Maybe that last plate is put in that tapered slot so that the movement is limited???? Dunno, maybe someone that knows can answer this mystery!
  18. I got the extended warranty for the "peace of mind" whenever I choose to do a longer road trip. For me, the thought of being far from home and on the side of the road with a broken bike is not appealing in the least. Also, as bwringer referenced, I have to travel an hour to get to a decent Yamaha dealer, (my local Yamaha stealer, I mean, dealer, only is interested in ATV's), so I visited another one an hour away, before I purchased the warranty. I made sure to inquire about how they viewed YES warranty repairs. I was impressed and that added into the decision to go ahead with purchasing the warranty. For what it costs, (around $100 per year for me), I hope I never have to use it, but it's there if I need it! Also, if I decide to sell the bike, it potentially adds some value to a buyer.
  19. I put those pegs on my 2020 Tracer 900GT and it probably has been the best "mod" that I have done! Really reduced the foot vibrations. Makes longer trips a lot more comfortable. I stand on mine quite often and have not had any issues with them. I was skeptical because of the low price, (I think I got mine off of fleabay for less than $10) but they seem to be well made.
  20. Sounds a little expensive to me! I think I paid less than half of that for the Yamaha "YES" warranty on my 2020 Tracer 900GT after I bought it used. Maybe if you are buying from a dealer, they are marking the warranty up???? You can call Yamaha YES Direct Sales at 803-781-7746 and check it out.
  21. Got it today and it DOES NOT MATCH! Way too much "chrome" colored. Oh well! Gotta keep looking I guess.
  22. There are lots of width options on Ebay. I just picked this one to see how it matches. I figured I could always put it on the wheels if it is close enough to the OEM color???
