  1. Welcome fellow Canuck ... Cortes Island? You're going to have to get on a ferry to ride that new machine. 😉
  2. Out of curiosity ... what's your inseam measurement? I've had Seat Concepts on a couple of bikes and liked them but have short legs and can't really afford any more height. Although, a little more seat-to-peg distance would be nice for my creaky, old knees. 🧓ðŸĶĩ
  3. Tracer 9 is a completely different beast.
  4. They've changed the description to list it for the T9 now, but this is the one I ordered, by the product number. You can see from my picture that it fits my 2020 perfectly. Mine came with the passenger cover too but I have no need for it. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005445144967.html?search_direct=true&spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0
  5. I'd be happy to get the seat a little lower, if possible. Think the Seat Concepts goes the other way, a bit. Removing foam from the back of the seat should help with the height and the slope. She's a two-fer, if there's enough foam for me to scoop some out. Still haven't really got a definitive response yet. I may just have to jump in and see for myself.
  6. Update on the seat cover ... I rode 4-1/2 hours today with one fuel stop and one quick purchase. The seat cover was great. Before the cover, I'd start to get uncomfortable with swamp-ass after an hour or so. Never felt it at all today. The long period in the saddle revealed that my creaky, old knees are the weak spot now. 😊
  7. I've only put a couple hundred miles on it so far. Definitely better airflow but it seems "slippery". The airflow is welcomed and I'm not sure about the slippery. Makes it easier to get on and off the bike, no doubt. Bought it off aliexpress. Like $25 and it's the proper fit for the 2019-2020 Tracer.
  8. I just spent the last 45 minute searching to see if I could find any info on reshaping the stock seat ... and didn't find anything. I'm wondering if there is enough foam in the seat to do a "seat slope mod" without raising the front of the seat. I'm inseam challenged and thought I might remove foam from the rear of the seat to lower it and reduce the slope. Anyone gone this route?
  9. I decided to abandon the cut down GIVI. After my first test, I cut the shield down another 3/4", so that it is even with the top of my GPS and added a couple of 1/2" spacers under the lower retaining bolts. Still had the wind hitting me about the chin-bar of my helmet, with lots of buffeting. The cut GIVI looks good but, for me, the stock screen, with a spoiler is a far better option. Certainly not as much air on a hot day but a more enjoyable setup.
  10. Left the Tracer in the garage ... had other motorcycle things to do. 😁 Think I've been spending too much time on the Tracer ... took me a while to get comfortable with the bike moving around under me.
  11. larolco put a set of Mutants last fall. I'd bet he's got some input to offer.
  12. Think there is talk of the R3 arm doing the trick.
  13. Ah ... just stuff the front of your pants with toilet paper for extra insulation. ðŸĪŠ
  14. Jury is still out on the shorty screen. Rode a couple hundred miles yesterday. High position put the wind at the top of my helmet visor and low position puts the wind at my helmet chin-bar. Really windy/gusty day and direction made a big difference. Certainly got a LOT more bugs splattered on my visor. Still tweaking to be done, but it sure looks better than the original.
  15. I put a set of RoadSport II on mine too. Don't have a ton of miles on them yet but they seem like a solid choice.
  16. My, used, 2020 900 GT came with a GIVI screen on it and the OEM sceen in a bag. I was curious about the OEM screen (since everyone says it's so bad) so I installed it as soon as I got the bike home. With a spoiler added, I find the OEM screen works fine. I've had the GIVI screen for sale for ages with no takers, even down to $50. I've been looking around for a shorty screen for summer so I figured, rather than buying another screen, I'd see what I could do with the GIVI. I went from this ... to this ... I cut it so it's in line with the top of my GPS. Just need to mount it up and try it out.
  17. So the devil was the salesman ... It had nothing to do with the inner voice that lead you to the dealership? 😄
  18. Saturday, May 13th ... silver Tracer 9 rolling down the 520 in Magnetawan around 4:00. Friday, May 12th ... red Tracer 9 southbound on Hwy 17 @ Algonquin Ave, in North Bay, around 11:30 AM.
  19. Today was a little exercise for the Tracer. A couple hundred miles. Grip heaters on medium for the whole ride. FJR, rubber-top footpegs are an improvement. Rear hugger extension didn't fall off. GPS mount worked great. GIVI crash guards weren't needed. phew
  20. I gave the Tracer a day off. Ripped around on my little Honda.
  21. HJC, RPHA II PRO, with a SENA com system, DS-X1, with a heated visor for my sled and an old ARAI XD-3 for putzing around on my Honda 250 Rally. RPHA II is by far the lightest. XD-3 flows the most air on hot days.
