  1. I have been using these oils that work great for me. No BS, no lie. I guess I am just oil insensitive and don’t run my vehicles low on oil.
  2. I replaced the original chain and sprocket set on my ‘19 Tracer GT at 15,400 miles. The front sprocket was noticeably hooked and was making a clicking sound as the chain was released from the teeth as it spun. The OEM stuff was replaced with JT steel 525 sprockets and a Primary Drive 525 o’ring riveted chain. I took it for a short ride and all is good.👍
  3. I have plenty of cover……riding with the person who started/owned Gateway BMW and the other person works there occasionally👍
  4. A great looking, highly finished bike that did not fit me🙁 Good luck with the purchase🤙
  5. I had to get home and get my Super Tenere packed…..will be in Ft Collins, CO on Monday night enroute Great Falls, MT for the BMWOA rally. It is a quick turn around; otherwise, I would have taken some secondary roads back from Davis, WV on the Tracer.
  6. I rode my Tracer GT 695 miles today from the MSTA STAR rally in Davis, WV to my home near St Louis. I started out in 42 degree weather with light fog and ended the day in 98 degree temperatures near my home.
  7. My 2019 Tracer GT sticker has the same clearance specs.
  8. I like it and will turn over 10,000 miles this week. I had to re-spring it front and rear for my 220 lb weight. I like to say that it is a modern KLR650. The T700 engine is fabulous, geared correctly, and smooth as glass.
  9. I am mid 60’s and have been riding 50 years. The Tracer GT is a great, light bike for me that complements my Super Tenere and Tenere 700. I am taking about a 2500 mile trip to the MSTA STAR event next week on the Tracer GT….home one day, then off for two weeks on my Super Tenere to the BMWOA rally in Great Falls with two friends. I do like lighter motorcycles as I age and did own a Versys-X 300 for three years/31000 miles….great motorcycle that weighed around 400 lbs ready to ride. I may just sell my ‘15 Super Tenere and ‘19 Tracer GT later this year to buy the ‘21 Tracer 9 GT. The only thing is that I run 45 liter Micatech saddle bags and a 46 liter top box on my Super Tenere on trips and I am spoiled by all of the storage space👍
  10. They fit my ‘19 Tracer GT perfect….as expected.
  11. I have a simpler set up. A battery tender cable from the battery fused at 15a and a SAE wired 12v port to use a compressor if necessary. I use the OEM 12v port to charge my cell phone only and have my Garmin hardwired to the aux/acc wiring under the windshield.
  12. Mine showed up yesterday and were installed in less than ten minutes. They fit perfect and I am looking to use them on an upcoming trip.
  13. Sounds good as I have a 35” inseam/6’4” tall. I am riding to the MSTA STAR rally in two weeks and need some leg room every once and a while.
  14. I just ordered a set of these extended sliders…..should offer some protection and double as a temporary foot rest. https://www.ebay.com/itm/372858176357
  15. For Yamaha FI, OBD2 fault code scanner diagnostic tool MT10 MT09 XSR900 R6 MT07 OBD2 Diagnostic Code Reader Adapter Scanner for Yamaha...
  16. What do your brake pads look like? Chain and sprockets? Some floating front brake discs make some noise at times.
  17. I have hearing loss, wear hearing aids when not riding, and wear ear plugs when riding…..what?
  18. You are a motorcyclist…..when you meet someone new and they For the first time ever, I am all Yamaha with a ‘19 Tracer GT, a ‘21 Tenere 700, and a ‘15 Super Tenere in the garage,
  19. I just loosened my OEM tightened sprocket nuts just for kicks…..the nuts were easy to break loose and then were re-torqued to 43 lb ft which seemed more than adequate. My GT currently has 12,200 miles on it.
  20. I just checked my chain and sprockets on my Tracer GT with 12112 miles/19488 kms. The countershaft sprocket has a very slight hook to it, but does not show as much wear as the OP. The rear sprocket looks very good and the OEM chain is just OK. I will be replacing the chain and sprockets at around 13000 miles when the rear tire is replaced. I run the chain slack on the loose end of in spec.
