  1. I usually use my cheap electric 1/2” Harbor Freight impact wrench. You can also lock up the countershaft from spinning with a socket long enough between one of the sprocket teeth into the swing arm or frame. Motion Pro makes a tool to do the same. https://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-Sprocket-Jammer-08-0642/dp/B06XHPFX56/ref=asc_df_B06XHPFX56/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312065537890&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1412022549193847554&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9022401&hvtargid=pla-568240508339&psc=1
  2. I used that switched connection for my Zumo 396 on my 2019 Tracer GT……would think the Niken is probably the same.

  4. I use this 35 liter dry bag from Kuryaken……works great. https://www.motosport.com/kuryakyn-torke-35l-dry-duffle-bag?variant[KYKA0H8]=KYKA0H8-X001-Y001
  5. ^^^^^^^Same here…..my wife’s Mazda CX 5 has adaptive cruise control which is turned off as soon as the vehicle is started. It is super annoying and at times dangerous if in use. I would be hesitant to ever use it on a motorcycle.
  6. More rules😝…..I only follow the rules I like😳
  7. I recently sold my 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT and have a few items for sale. It will mount up to any Givi Monokey base. $60.00I have a brand new front Shinko Raven 009 sport bike tire in size 120/70-17 showing a manufacture date of the 28th week of 2020….new with sticker the best price online is $87.00 and I will sell it for $70.00.If you want all three items, they can be purchased for $125.00.I can meet you in a public place within 50 miles of Waterloo, Illinois. Local pick up only.
  8. Sold on 07-02-2022 to a person with better knees and shorter legs than I have. What a great bike though.
  9. A friend of mine bought a new ‘21 T9 GT……..hates it with a passion. His bike is at the local Yamaha dealer who is trying to get the bike to run correctly. I doubt that he will keep the T9 when he gets it back. It is not good at all for my buddy or T9 owners.
  10. Where in the 95 degree heat? With no humidity or lots of humidity? Plus, some riders tolerate different types of weather better than others. I have no problem riding in the 20s with heated gear, but don’t tolerate the high heat and humidity common to the St. Louis, MO area that I live in.
  11. We left Cody about ten years ago in 70 degree weather and it started raining as we started on the Chief Joseph Hwy. Rain coats were put on and as we continued to the Beartooth it began to sleet and then snow heavily as the temperature dropped into the high 30s. The pavement was just wet and as we rode into Red Lodge all of our bikes had about 1” of snow on the windshields/front. It didn’t last long as it was sunny and warm in Red Lodge. It is a shame that area incurred such weather related damage.
  12. One can also carry a compact 27mm 3/8” drive socket and short breaker bar or 3/8” drive rachet. This socket is only 1 1/4” tall.
  13. I am on my third pair of Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex boots. I wore out the soles on the first pair after about eight years, my second pair is around the same age, and I just started to wear my third pair (that I bought seven years ago….I like them that much). I can walk in them, they fit, and have never leaked. I had a pair of Sidi boots that were too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter due to the use of the synthetic leather Lorica that was used in their construction. The Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex boots are made from real leather.
  14. BumpTTT and a price reduction to: $8999.00. Fly in to St Louis and ride it home.
  15. A Tenere 700 rear/front off-set axle wrench from Raid works on the Tracer as I own both bikes. https://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk/yamaha-t7-tenere-spanner
  16. Update….$8999.99 for my lightly used Tracer 900 GT.
  17. I have a Tenere 700 and a Tracer 900 GT. The Tenere 700 fits me better with lowered foot pegs and the taller Yamaha Rally seat…..it is a tall bike. Both the Tracer and T700 engines are great with decent power for what I do. The tubed tires of the T700 do suck for sure as I have had both front and rear flats during ownership. I may end up doing a taped, tubeless conversion with the next tire change. Dodged a bullet last week with a nail in the tire that did not cause a flat. I will say that the Tenere 700 feels way heavier than it scales and is very top heavy. I had to re-spring it front and rear to match my 230 lb riding weight as it is very soft from the factory. The Tracer feels lighter than it is and is more nimble than the T700…..it could use a little more steering lock to lock though. I am selling my Tracer because ergonomically it is just too small for my larger size and 35” inseam. I will be keeping the Tenere 700 for a while.
  18. Bold new price. $9650.00. Fly and ride out of St. Louis, MO.
  19. Tape a small piece of white tshirt/paper to the case…..go ride and see what happens. It looks to be an external leak falling on your case, not internal/porous casting.
  20. “Factory trained mechanics” is all you need to know👎
  21. I am selling my 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT with it currently showing 21,718 miles. The bike has a tall Puig windshield with EBay adjustable spoiler. It will also be sold with an ADLO 46 liter tail trunk with integrated brake lights. I have lower adjustable foot pegs installed and also have the stock pegs. The side stand has a “Bigfoot” installed as the stock stand foot rather small. Grip puppies surround the stock heated grips. All maintenance is up to date….the rear tire has 700 miles and the front around 2500. The chain and sprocket set were replaced around 15,500 miles with JT steel sprockets and a Primary Drive 525 o’ring chain. Just FYI…..the Tracer 900 GT comes stock with factory hard bags, heated grips, and cruise control…..all work great. I am selling the bike as I am just too big for the bike with aching knees and hips and a desire to get back to only two motorcycles for simplicity’s sake. More info here: https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2018/07/17/2019-yamaha-tracer-900-gt-review-22-fast-facts/ The motorcycle is located in Waterloo, Illinois 62298 which is 20 miles south of St. Louis, MO. I have a clean, lien free title in my name and am asking $8999.99 this very clean and non-abused Tracer 900 GT. $8999.99
  22. That is one reason I own multiple motorcycles……..unexpected down time. I always order new tires right after I install a fresh set.
