I guess I was not clear that I also have the -02 cable I installed years ago (and before the original design failed like it did for others); though it's no longer than the original version. I even have a new spare -02 clutch cable in my "attic stock"! I guess it may be up for sale here soon, along with extra rear brake pads and fork wipers & seals I bought mistakenly not knowing a pair was in each box. The Renthal Street Naked are well up & back from stock (I have the dimensions in a folder), plus they have more sweep backward. I also have the OEM risers in the "back" orientation. All I know I need likely 3" more slack or I'm not (eventually) going anywhere.

I've tried a 2014 Yamaha R1 clutch cable. It works but it doesn't have the Gradual ninety degree steel tube at the top Like the second generation clutch cable for Generation one and generation two FJ/tracers. I have not contacted someone like Motion Pro who make custom cables to see how much one would cost and delivery time (not that I'm going to be riding until mabe June) I only need about 2~3 more inches with the Street Naked bars and +1" up & .75" back riser adapters I have. All the electric looms, throttle cables and Speigler brake line have enough slack. Has anyone found a suitable clutch cable off the shelf? Thanks for You're input

The front 2 plugs I used up, 1 for my RD and the other I don't recall now. They're only 2 amps which you can push to 3 but not 5. I must have at least 10 seperate added circuits.

Yes, tail light, front TS running light (right front side cowl), etc. As you know you Could use a relay and tap the battery for juice. I have several added circuits as well which all incorporate a relay; sometimes 2 circuits off one relay. There were so many circuits on my VTR, fed off a + & - buss bar, each with their own inline fuse and relay, it finally became so congested with spaghetti wiring, I obtained a device that incorporates I think 6 or 8 circuits with built-in fuse slots which can be selected to either be switched or battery. I can check and post whose it is, as I shopped around a fair bit before selecting the one I did. It also was the smallest, and I believe could handle up to 60 amps total. That way you need only 1 battery and ground connection and one switched input.

I have a similar issue with my VTR. Drove me crazy! At first I thought it was a bad sidestand switch. Replaced it after testing and even jumpering around it. I then presumed it was the starter relay. The starter itself is down low in front. Poor design weather exposure wise. After 111,000+ miles I think it may be a dead spot on the armature or stator. At least it's easy to get to. Also I have NOS for all these parts including the relay and starter in my attic stock. Enough to build another bike less wheels & brakes, plus I have another fastest red 98 in the stable. Electrical gremlins are the hardest often to rectify (pun)!

Mr D Given the post immediately prior to yours, karma may demand you refrain from using the term "fire starter " when referring to your battery. In regard to your diagnosis of your current battery's apparent failure, I concur. I stopped a few years ago keeping my batteries on my "battery tenders" when not on the road. Instead, I closely monitor their state of charge, and when they drop below 12.88V, I then put them on a tender for a couple of days. I too have observed a slight drop-off in the performance of the OEM Yuasa YTZ10S in my 15, which concerns me. I will monitor it more closely over the winter (Winter? what winter? Other than a 10 day sub-zero stretch followed by a wet, gloomy 10 day run... Not complaining but what's with our crazy 3 week string of mild sunny days? Today it'll be 61 !!!?). I'm expecting needing a new energy box this summer, as 9 years could be a record even fir me. Again, not complaining. As to going with a Lifpo, TBD but the NOCO is attractive; I have their Genius 2 smart charger already. But I've had such good service from Yuasa since 79 or earlier, I'm reluctant to diverge from LAGRT for "lithium", especially given our northern climate... Are the 5's near as good as the 6? I have a fresh set of 5 waiting for the current T32 to evaporate. Should of happened 3/4 way thru last season as usual but for my reduced mileage due to reasons covered during it. I have a set of RS3 in attic stock too, so I'm set for the next two seasons. A fresh pair of S22 black buns are also anxious to get on the VTR but the current set are wearing almost as well as the T32. Now the new S23 that are making a big splash...

Congrats on your new Wheels The bridgez you don't like are the 32s the t-32s? Regardless they can be different from the two other brands you quoted I'd suggest if you have room to drop the rear and lower the pressure in the rear if necessary before the front going below 32 if you want any mileage anyway 😁

More details / pics please. I have the same charger. I see other non-oem wires but nothing attached to the battery terminals; or are they connected off another circuit? I have several taps coming off the battery. Cold weather start-up was always funny that you run the lights. Difficult to do with auxiliary driving lights on an FJ...
