  1. Nice bike and welcome! Is this bike from Moon motorcycle shop in North Bend?
  2. Dandanthefireman on youtube has some good videos about riding safe. Now that i'm getting older i'm more concerned about safety. https://www.youtube.com/user/Stubbs928
  3. I have used corrosion X spray. It kills and prevents corrosion. It’s great on aluminum , kind of expensive, but worth it. Probably won’t remove rust from steel but will prevent rust https://www.amazon.com/CorrosionX-Aviation-oz-aerosol-80102/dp/B000FOLXFW/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=corrosion+x+aerosol&qid=1582576009&sr=8-3
  4. A shop that does car wraps could do it for you. Or spectra chrome it
  5. Sw-motech has a few options. I don't know how hard of a hit they will take. Higdonion has a pretty rugged looking skid plate, probably your best choice for offroad. I have not run any, but will probably buy the higdonion, they also come with the side crash bars Trail Cage and Skid Plate MT-09 Tracer900 FJ-09 FZ-09 XSR900 ...
  6. Nice pictures. I have been wanting to make the loop someday. Have you been on chuckanut drive? nice twisty road with a great view of the Puget sound
  7. I agree, so many distracted drivers out there. I like the looks of those denalis I mounted a west marine red led strip light below my license plate. It comes on with the brake light WEST MARINE 6" LED Utility Strip Light with Gasket, Red | West Marine Shop, read reviews, or ask questions...
  8. They are nice signals, I probably should have put X-arcs on the front. I do like the look of the flush mounts. I might add leds onto my bark busters,
  9. What did you guys get your bike for Valentines day? I got her high-tech speed proton 500 flush front and X-Arc rear signals, Pumpkins wouldn't clear the hard saddle bags with the yoshimura fender eliminator so I had to go smaller
  10. I was considering buying some. I am turning my bike into a adventure bike. I'm not sure I trust those chines FJR footpegs while standing on them on rough terrain. A friend of mine has some on a KTM 1290 adventure, he likes them
  11. You would love that bike. The GT comes with a lot of upgrades and options. One of the most common complaints is wind buffeting over the windscreen. Theres a lot of aftermarket touring screens available< I would recommend the Madstad. I was looking at used triumph tiger 800s most had a lot of miles. I found that I could get a Brand new 2 year old 2017 FJ-09 off the show room for $7900. So I bought it in 2019. These things are a blast to ride.
  12. I will be coming from the Snohomish, Wa area. I have not riden in this area. I’ll have to take it easy, especially in a group ride. I’ll be doing some light off-road. I have had it out on gravel/dirt roads and it does great
  13. I’m going to the Touratech west rally, probably be the only FJ-09/Tracer there. I’ll put some off-road tires and guards on it. There’s camping, vendors, seminars, and different levels of trail and street riding around the area in in the mountains. It is in Plain Washington
  14. Nice work. I would also like to come up more tool storage. I thought about mounting a rack where the pillion seat would be and have more tool storage underneath. I don't plan to haul passengers just camping gear.
  15. I am considering some Shinko 705. from the reviews I have seen they last a long time and they do good on the road and wet pavement. They do good offroad, not as good as the shinko 804/805 in the loose stuff. the price is great on the Shinkos! I also like the looks of the Pirelli MT-60 rs. and the Pirelli scorpion rally str
  16. don't get the gopro session, its a nice small cube camera. the problem is you can not change the battery so theres no swapping to a fresh battery while your out for the day. When the battery goes bad and won't take a charge, its junk. expensive disposable camera
  17. I have one for my bike. I only have one 2 hour ride on it, but it made it more comfortable, and cozy! The only thing I didn't like was on the strap the plastic buckles are too far out and rub on the paint. I cut the straps free from the buckles and extended them inward under the seat about 2" on each side. now it looks better and won't scratch the paint
  18. Check Yamaha sports plaza. They have great online prices for factory yamaha and aftermarket parts and accessories. I put the oem grip heaters on my 2017 FJ-09 they work great. You will notice the right side will get warmer because it is insulated by the throttle tube.
  19. Fijiman have you picked a tire that you like? I am considering the Pirelli MT-60 for my 2017 FJ-09. I am going to to some mild offroad, long gravel roads, ect. But I still want decent on road cornering and wet traction
  20. I was surprised how well the stock tires did on a gravel/dirt/mud road, hit 40 mph a few times. even had enough traction for a wheelie. I will be putting some mild offroad tires on soon though along with a higdonian skid plate and crash bars.
  21. I put a amazon kickstand enlarger on. nice if your going to park on soft ground.
