  1. Aaaaargh It sounds more plausible than mine. I'm too old for all this , why can't people type whole phrases any more.
  2. Ah. Thanks @duhg , I was scared to google it. Genuinely had no idea what it meant. It's an education this forum.
  3. Breathtaking photographs. I would love to ride through there. I can't believe how good your road surfaces are.
  4. same, I will be scratching my head over that one for the rest of the evenng... Why the french yodel too badly? Will this fried yoghurt taste bad?
  5. Oooft. Glad the bike was fine though. Sounds like a mighty fine ride.
  6. Same here, with one extra step. I rotate the rear wheel a bit , check again, rotate the wheel, check again. Since sometimes you can have a 'tight spot' on a chain. But keep it simple and just do what @betoney and @BBB have said.
  7. Those first couple of photos looked really refreshing, with the cool of the water against the heat of the day. That is some amazing scenery you rode through there.
  8. I look like a dart when I have a kilt on. Always been super skinny, can't put weight on.
  9. I think I'll try and find something to put in where the feelers/hero blobs go. Like really really long bolts, so I can make sparks
  10. Scraping the pegs. Man, I am miles from scraping the pegs on mine. Mind you, I did notice that they don't have those hero blob things under them. Is it those that touch down first? Or do I need to lean even further over ofc I only weigh 130lbs dripping wet
  11. Years ago I bought my vstrom from Alf England. At the time their workshop was full of FJR's , being kitted out with all the police gear. My bike was bought with 7000 miles on it, and was like new. I'd recommend them as well for anyone around there. But this is still an old thread
  12. Welcome to the forum, look forward to hearing how you get on with getting a Tracer.
  13. Mine is booked in for the 24000 big service as well, next Friday. My quote is £320 Somebody is having you on, at £700 Bit far for you to travel though, to Dumfries.
  14. Thats how I always do it after bleeding brakes, pump the front brake lever a few times, then cable tie it as tight as possible to the bars, crack the master cylinder top a wee touch as well, and leave overnight.
  15. If you like the R&G covers, why not buy some quality bolts?
  16. Burned a lot of petrol for 2 hours, and thats the bike booked in for it's BIG service , next Friday. Man, I've put a lot of miles on it considering I haven't actually been anywhere on it yet. Oh, and worked on my chicken strips... getting there.....
  17. I'll be using it, now I read it on the internet, it is clearly a fact.
  18. Waiting to hear what you go with. Whichever, you will be pleased with it.
  19. Awesome. About 30 miles east of me. I've a mate down in Taz I send stuff to now and again. Let the other doonunderers know the offer is there if it is any help
  20. If you knew how much the postage was, and it was worth the price, I'd be happy to get any bits like that for any Aussies and post them on. The postage is probably the killer bit though, and I dunno how you'd work it out. But the offer is there if it is any use.
  21. Hmmm, I do like the look of them, nice and protective of the expensive bits. I could be tempted to switch to those instead of the ones I have at the moment, especially if you can have a stretch out with them.
  22. Yep. It was weeks later that I noticed that on the pack it said , for use to a max speed of 40mph. I was flat out on the bike loads of times , ooops. Wore that tyre (tire) out with the sticky worm thing in it, no prob. If it was the front, maybe I'd have replaced it though.
