  1. Maybe you might place one on a sheet of paper and draw an outline and include the dimensions for us that may wish to make our own?
  2. Another review which mentions the longer mud flaps...
  3. Re: DogTags...... Funny you should ask. My son just started driving so I got him one, and my nephew rides an electric scooter so he got one also. Not sure if they will wear them but no harm either way.
  4. mydogtag.com - inexpensive and quick turn around with many options...
  5. Year, model, miles, any electrical farkles?
  6. Center stand works as before, just needs a little more weight when lifting. I had the side stand shortened by 1.25". I never liked the fact that the sidestand is hollow so its easy to cut and put a steel bar inside when shortening. Sidestand adjustment.
  7. The launch reviews are coming in for the 2023 Niken GT... Bike World Review
  8. I can't tell you if the sport seat is much lower but did read somewhere that it is not as comfortable as the GT seat. I lowered my Niken with the Yamaha lowering link and needed more, so went with the Hyperpro lowering kit and am very pleased, (29.5 inseam). You could try and repack the GT seat with less material if going that route. HyperPro
  9. The Corbin I had on my 2017 allowed me to slide back for comfort and slide forward when coming to a stop. I have shorter legs, so this may have been a factor.,
  10. Maybe for the non-electric model. Prices for the electric Engage ran from $249- $295. SW motech Electric Engage BTW... if you check the SW Motech site they currently have crash bars on sale for many Yamaha models to include FJ-09, MT-09 and Tracer 900. SW-Motech Sale
  11. Sorry to hear about your bike. I recently sat on a Triumph Tiger GT 900 Low and was able to get both feet on the ground with a 30" inseam. Another triple, might be worth a look. https://ridermagazine.com/2023/01/19/2023-triumph-tiger-900-gt-low-tour-test-review/

Excellent work. Now you can join the club. (Another Ridgeline owner).
  13. I purchased the 2019 Niken in March of 2022, and was of the mindset that it was inspected by the dealer who sold it to me when he registered it with zero miles on the clock. I didn't take it to be inspected till a couple of weeks ago when I found out it can only be inspecter from May to October in PA. I have been driving around with the blinking brake light (and no inspection) for over a year and haven't been stopped yet. I will see what happens next month when I go for inspection, somewhere other than a Yamaha dealer.
  14. I did a similiar deed many years ago when I didn't know what a snapping turtle was. I picked it up from behind and it's head came around and snapped within 1mm of my thumb. Scared the life out of me, and I think it took a few days before I could wash its stink from my hands.
  15. I don't even have fog lights they are small spot lights. I will be taking it to a different station for the inspection, A non dealer probably won't notice my mirrors are not stock. Sometimes I think the dealers are looking for angles to make money. I adjusted my rear brake light modulator to blink 6 times and then stay on solid, till the brakes are re-applied. I read where someone passed with it that way, before it was on a continuous blink.
  16. I think my experience will make me do a little research with future mods to be sure they are legal.
  17. The rear shock absorber assembly is equipped with a spring preload adjusting knob and a rebound damping force adjusting screw. The forks have springs in the rear and oil in the front on each side. Each side of the front fork is equipped with a rebound damping force adjusting screw and a compression damping force adjustment screw. See pics in the first post of this thread.
  18. I made what I feel are safety improvements to my 2019 Yamaha Niken. While I recently had it in for a fork oil service at a Yamaha dealership, I asked for them to do the state inspection. Unknown to me motorcycle inspections can only be done during certain months in Pennsylvania. 'The state of Pennsylvania requires an annual inspection of all motorcycles between the months of May and October. From November to April, no motorcycles are inspected anywhere in the state.' When I picked up the bike the counter clerk brought to my attention some notes the mechanic had added to my receipt. It read.... Unit will not pass inspection for following reasons. Brake light does not stay solid. Fog Lights do not have seperate switch. Mirror Turn Signals are not DOT approved. I purchased a brake light modulator from TST Industries which I feel adds a huge safety factor but on looking at their site I found a note that said may not be DOT approved. Luckily it is plug and play so it can be unplugged for the inspection. https://tstindustries.com/tst-brake-light-modulator-yamaha-oem-tail-lights.html The stock mirrors on the Niken with integrated turn signals were attractive but not as effective as handle bar mounted ones, so I added a high quality pair with integrated turn signals and day running lights to Yamaha mounts on the bars. Again 'Mirror Turn Signals are not DOT approved'. https://kiwavmotors.com/en/parts/controls/mirrors/road-naked/two-tone-led-neat-stem-mirrors-lucifer-black-universal-fit-detail When I removed the stock mirrors I put fog lights in their place and wired them to the open plug behind the headlight. 'Fog lights do not have seperate switch' says the note for that one. So I will just add a switch, and may even purchase a Denali fog light kit with a switch as my fogs are a cheap set I installed to be always on so as to be seen by other drivers. So it's disappointing to find that my safety improvements wont pass the test. Have others had similar experiences?
  19. Had the fork oil changed with the oil provided from HyperPro. What a huge difference the 10 weight oil makes. A lot of the bumbs that were noticable with the stock Yamaha oil after adding the lowering kit, were almost unnoticable on my ride last night. I have still to play with the settings, and while it is not as smooth as it was from Yamaha it is pretty close. This set up gives me more confidence, with now been able to get both feet on the ground. I higly recommend the Hyerpro Kit for other vertically challenged riders considering it.
