  1. Planes, Trains and Motorcycles. Oh sorry, wasn’t it Automobiles?
  2. Piotrek I was talking about Side Rd 2 which is kind of extension of Lower Base Line and Eglinton and what you are describing you were farther North. I was there earlier so maybe you saw me. Any way are you in Mississauga? If the answer is yes maybe we should meet one day and ride together. And your name seems familiar to me too😀. My originally is Rysiek.
  3. Spotted 2 FJ09 on my ride today. First red (with matching Hepco&Becker panniers) in Belfountain around 2pm and then another red one around 6.15 on Side Rd 2 just West of Tremaine Rd. going West. I was on dark blue FJ09 going East.
  4. No problem. As you said Shinko 705 front which is good on gravel and ashfalt (and inexpensive) and last 25000-30000km. I didn't want it on the rear because first (and definitely last one I had on V Strom) was good only for 14000km. Dunlop Trailsmart should be good for about 22000-25000km. I prefer front more aggressive because grip of the front on gravel is more important than on rear. Generally in my opinion matching front and rear is not important.
  5. Thanks. Shinko E-705 trail Master front and Dunlop Trailsmart on the rear.
  6. It was time to replace original tires on my 2017 FJ09 after 20000km. Wanted something more off road oriented. Installed new shoes yesterday. Combination of 70/30 Shinko 705 front and 70/30 Dunlop Trailsmart rear. Took her today for 600km test ride and so far must say I’m very pleased. Day and night. And specially on gravel roads.
  7. After 20000km on original tire there was a time for new shoes. Already tested them on 600km trip and so far so good. Day and night on gravel.
  8. Second attempt and no interest again. That's fine. I'm out riding.
  9. Come up with another one. We don’t want to wait another few months...😀
  10. Second attempt.. 13C this coming Saturday. Who is in for a ride from Belfountain at 11 am. Full tank of gas and empty bladder btw.
  11. Sounds good. There was 2019 Gt in Ottawa couple of weeks ago with 5000km on it for $11 000. He was ready to sell it for 10 500. Sold in one week...
  12. Even looking at lower bracket seems to me “like wishful thinking”. If you need bigger cases why you don’t get Givi/Kappa luggage mounting racks and there you go. You can install almost everything on them. I’ve got my bike with OEM cases. Sold them 2 weeks later and installed Givi quick lock racks. Now I can use my Givi E22 when going around or on long weekend trips, E360 (40l each) on longer road trips and even Wolfman Expedition soft dry bags when going off road.
  13. Good for you. Congratulations. Ride safe and stay safe!
  14. Sounds like a reasonable excuse but it doesn’t work for me. Another nice day today and another 220km. (about 7200 km in total this year)
  15. Thanks NormR. Yes this spring. And another 5000 within 6 weeks since I put on the road in the middle of October.
  16. Another nice day and another 480 km (300 miles). This brings me to 7000km this year. Blue Mountains, ON.
  17. And seems like nobody is wearing mask. 👍
  18. Improve again? This way you might be not riding until next year or so. May I ask what for you is not to far from home and what is? And in fact what difference does it make?
  19. Flaming? Oh yes. I don’t clean the chain but lube it every 500km (300 miles) or so. On my last bike (2017 V Strom 650) before I got FJ09 I got 50 000km (31000miles) and the chain was still ok.
  20. I was just kidding. It is a shock. Nothing else.
