You will appreciate the side stand foot enlarger when you park it on a soft asphalt , gravel, sand or grass.

I must say blue one available in Europe (brighter) is even nicer and specially with painted side panels. I definitely don’t like GT models paint ideas with motorcycle in one colour and side panels completely different.

I’m pretty sure you can get Chinese knock off for about $150. If I would relayed on it? I’m not 100% sure.

I have them on my 2017 and couple of weeks ago I installed radiator guard. In order to do that I had to remove these side panels and can confirm that there is no issue doing it.

One in my garage - VFR 800 as an example. BMW uses aluminium I believe and many more for sure.

I agree with you in this particular case (how many times it happens?) but generally it should be solid part. Wondering if in few years we gone hear about bikes falling down (some with rider on it) because of rusty kickstands. I usually get on the bike with kickstand down and specially when I have side cases on it so there is a weight of the bike + my weight. I’m pretty sure many here use the same approach.

Yes, as you can see, it is open. Store was closed even that the sign there was saying that it will be open on 3rd. I guess it will be reopen this coming Monday. Next week looks very promising...Perhaps I won’t be able to go out for a ride on Monday but definitely Tuesday and Wednesday (13C!). Maybe Thursday as well.

I’ve had it on previous V Stroms and now attached to Vstream windscreen on my FJ. It works. I would never paid $120 for it tough.
