  1. Well, I got mine (2017) 5 weeks ago with 7250 km on it (4500 miles) and passed 12300 km (7650 miles) couple of days ago. So that's just over 5000km (3100 miles). 43000 km (26700 miles) since September last year until mid of October this year when I was riding my previous bike (2017 V Strom 650XT). Ended up this riding season with 35000km (22000 miles) on V Strom and 5000 km (3100 miles) on FJ09. Total this year 40000 km (25000 miles). That's my new personal record.
  2. Washed her after last ride (couple of days ago) and then removed City Bags with all mounting brackets (available if you're interested in OEM panniers). After that I installed quick release Givi luggage racks together with Wolfman Expedition soft dry saddlebags.
  3. Just lubricated the chain before and after my 300km ride (perhaps the last one of the season).
  4. I like Olympia too (have X-Moto for years) but people pay more because Klim is made of Gore -Tex. If Olympia had they gear made of Gore-Tex it wouldn't be cheaper. I wouldn't mind to buy from them though because I always liked their design and functionality.
  5. My Latitude Misano is back from 2015 and no complaints so far. Can't say much about how is it now but I think you're right - not the same quality as it used to be. Welcome to Made in China.
  6. Or Klim (Latitude for sport touring). Gore-Tex. Waterproof for life. Good venting. No removable layers and all you need is heated liner (if you ride in colder weather).
  7. Just rode it for few of hours, but for tomorrow the weather forecast looks good (15C here in Ontario, Canada) so it is going to be about 8 hours. It might be the last one this riding season...
  8. If OEM cases are heavy you don't want aluminum cases...btw I have a set of Kappa K-Venture/Givi Trekker Outback 37l for sale.
  9. Hi. Quick shifter by any chance? Thanks
  10. Just cleaned her up. Lubricated the chain and attached small Heed bags on Heed engine guards. Ready for the ride tomorrow.
  11. Klim Latitude Misano Gore-Tex jacket and pants, Alpinestars Gore-Tex gloves and TCX X-Desert Gore-Tex boots work for me.
  12. Living in Southern Ontario, Canada. Olympia X-Moto suit in grey / hi-viz. works very well during the hot summer days. The rest of the season Klim GoreTex Latitude Misano jacket and pants in black. Completely waterproof and well vented. I'm usually wearing hi-viz air bag vest on the top of this suit.
  13. Congratulations and welcome but looking at the pictures I would suggest investing in proper riding gear. You can easy replace the damaged radiator but not so easy your (or your girlfriend's)skin.
  14. Looks like the first generation V Strom (and second in fact as well) but as long as it makes you happy...who cares. Actually I'm still debating - to do or not to do. Looks good.
  15. And that's it? 1.5 year ago?
  16. My riding buddy almost sold his 2014 V Strom 1000 after riding it for only 2 weeks because of abrupt fueling. I just started to ride my new to me 2017 FJ09 couple of weeks ago and if it is not as smooth as my 2017 V Strom 650 I don't think there is something wrong with it. If I'm not mistaken Yamaha fixed the mapping issue after 2016 model.
