Popular Post daboo
I took off for Artist Point on Mt. Baker yesterday. The road isn't open all the way yet, but I was able to walk up the remaining portion. That's the Canadian border near the left most peaks. The bathroom roof in the parking lot. There's probably a good 20 feet of snow there. My bike below. You'll have to squint to see it. Chris 3 6

A few of our Canadian members have posted stunning photos, I need to explore some of their mountainous riding. 2 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

nvzman
Great pics, daboo. Noticed some folks still X-country skiing. Anybody still snowmobiling or is the area shut down till Winter arrives?
daboo
I didn't see any snowmobiliers, but there were snow boarders. Chris 1

St. Helens and Spirit Lake. Having this and Mt. Rainier both literally in your back yard never gets old. 4 2 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

I've always had a fascination for that mountain and have watched many documentaries about 'that' 1980 event. Recently I read that there are ominous signs already that the mountain is showing further signs of unrest and a new smaller bulge is slowly growing. Nature - gotta love the awesome power!
Supporting Member knyte Posted July 18, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted July 18, 2020 I was living in Vancouver, BC, at the time - it was dark for about a week. I had some ash from that event, and a 'fossilized' plant. Really cool. Devastating - but cool. 1 2015 FJ-09 / FJR touring bags / oil plug mod / Evotech rad guard / SW Motech bash plate / VStream touring windshield / Seat Concepts: Sport Touring / Vcyclenut ABS rings (speedo correction) / Cosmo RAM mount
