Do you have a SENA? Or, do you know if a SENA can be easily installed on this helmet?

@THETRUCK454 I am anxiously awaiting pictures of the SH58X on the bike. I have been eyeballing that top case for some time now. Also, did it come with the universal mounting plate? And, did you get hit with any additional customs taxes?

@elheffe There are pictures at the beginning of this thread of the actual TSB... also you should order a service manual if you will be doing maintenance yourself. That is all I am willing to contribute as I don't know what you mean by "grey market purchase".

My VIN never returned any active recalls either, but I received the notice in the mail today... I doubt the previous owner would make up the fact the he received the recall notice.

I just got off the phone with Nels from @2wheeldynoworks. He has been looking at the tuneboy stuff. After looking at the Tuneboy flash files that were loaded on one of his customer's bikes, he did not have good things to say about the flash files. I won't go into details (I don't want to get sued) but i invite you to call Nels at (425) 269-5332 and ask for yourself before ordering this kit from Tuneboy. I advise caution here guys. Sounds like a good reason for Nels to figure out how to get CC into his flashes...

Installed the FZ-09 OEM bar end weights.. perfect fit and only $28 from the dealership.

I gave mine a bath... So everyone, what do you use to get the chain lube/crud off of the rear wheel?

Cheap ones are a fLeaBay item. Don't know why I couldn't find them... oh well.. the more expensive ones are already on the way.

Got my Conti RoadAttack 2 EVO tires installed (haven't ridden on them yet).. ordered some FZ-09 bar ends for the summer and some new chain adjusters (gilles tooling...pricey, but i couldn't find the cheap ones that people have linked before) due to the fact that I could see where the axle had started to dig into the soft OEM chain adjuster block.

@Wiggin did you have to adjust your brake and gear pedals when you installed the new footpegs?

I need these, which cases are they? Those look like the Yamaha city cases.

Edit.. @piotrek.. I think you found the right one. The one I was looking at is for the upper shock mount.

The black stuff on the muffler tip is very common. Nothing to worry about there.. The service manual says to "Place the vehicle on the centerstand" when checking engine oil. (P. 3-23)

I just received a set of Conti Road Attack 2 Evo tires... trying to wait for my suspension to come in to install them, but I'm running out oftread!! 7k miles on the original Dunlops and I'm at the wear bars on the front and back.

I use the Puig Touring Screen with the Puig Deflector. I'm 5'11" (Over 6'0 with my boots on). I keep it in the middle position. No buffeting, very quiet. I am able to ride with my visor open pretty much all of the time, even on the highway at 80+ MPH (although I dont recommend doing that regularly). I hope you find a solution that works for you.

Most exhausts will perform better with a reflashed ECU. Even the akrapovic titanium which is advertised to work great with the stock tune runs better after flashing the ECU... So to answer the question, you probably don't "need" to flash it, but it will almost definitely run better if you do.

Do they require a different charger than a regular battery tender?
