  1. Why wouldn't you trust Twisted Throttle? When it comes to Denali motorcycle lighting, they would be my first choice to ask for advise.
  2. No need to disconnect the fuel line. just lift the tank and swivel it 180 degree backward and set it on a towel. I never remove the fuel line when accessing the ECU or air filter.
  3. @2and3cylinders - Thanks for sharing that info. I have been contemplating a QS myself and like you, I also want the Blip. Looking as some of the install videos or instruction sheets, they seem to want to tap into wiring of the ECU or coil plugs, - just like the MCCruise, so I can see that there could be some conflict. I don't know of any other solution but I'm definitely NOT going to give up the CC.
  4. In a perfect world it would vaporize slow drivers and RV's.๐Ÿ‘
  5. My line of thinking says the same thing, put the force as low as possible on the frame mount.
  6. It takes a little bit more time and effort but when you remove the tank, accessing the top shock mount bolt is so easy its almost like cheating.
  7. It would be a shame to spill your IPA.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. Congratulations on the new bike. If you don't like the color you can always buy last years plastics, some on here have even sprayed theirs with plasti-dip to change the color.
  9. I always wave to other bikers, I don't always get a return wave though.
  10. I installed a dual USB charger with LED voltmeter. I spliced into the switched auxiliary 12v power leads behind the screen so it is always on with the ignition. I got fed up with the POS 12v cigarette lighter outlet, I have already replaced it once and the 2nd one is now working intermittently, it has never been used in the rain and always has the rubber cap on yet still corrodes on the inside.
  11. I didn't have to remove the airbox, I cut the hard lines in half and removed each half out the front and rear, they pulled right out. The new lines slid in fairly easy on the left side of the engine behind the frame rail, very similar to the routing of the clutch cable. For me, the most difficult part was getting access to remove the mount blocks, once I got it in my mind that none of the old parts were reusable and could be cut up and thrown away, it was just a systematic process like building a model car. Glad you got yours finished, now that it is done, you wont have to do it again.๐Ÿ‘
  12. YAMAHA MT09 TRACER 900 FZ09 HANDLEBAR BAR RISERS BARBACK Fit only MT09 Tracer. We mark the item price low value, regarding custom...
  13. You beat me to it, I was just going to suggest the same thing.
  14. See what happens when you try and get creative?๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘ You couldn't pay me enough to remove the center stand from my bike, if it didn't have one, I would pay extra to get one. I use it a majority of the time, side stand not so much.
  15. I have always done the same, shorty on the brake and standard length on clutch for both my street and dirt bikes.
  16. Yes, they change fueling and some ignition parameters but they do this repeatedly on a dyno up to WOT. and the flash is built for everyone. Something makes me think APS or TPS, the A-mode settings are 'quick-turn' throttle and the throttle 'travel' is different than STD or B mode. Am I way off in my thinking?๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
  17. Yes, I changed the switch on mine to the Spiegler hydraulic switch. I spliced and insulated mine the same way, very simple. And @BBB just to confirm, there is no polarity, the brake light works just completing the circuit.
  18. Thanks for the info, I didn't know there was an 'account' limit, I had always thought it was limited "per post".
  19. @Cruizin - Did the file size just change for posting photos? Yesterday I noticed the allowable file size was much smaller than normal and today when trying to attach a photo, I keep getting warning telling me the allowable size is 0.44mb. "Accepted file types gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png ยท Max total size 0.44MB" I had to lower the resolution of photos in my phone, and then still had to resize them in windows to the point that they are barely legible and just larger than a thumbnail. Thanks, Brian
  20. In the 3 years since I bought the bike, I have gone through the oem Dunlops, 2 sets of Pirelli Angel GT's, and 4 sets of Bridgestones. I really like the Bridgestones, I have used the S21 sport tire and the T31 sport touring tire and honestly, I cant tell the difference between them. Other than the T31 having more rain channels, the sport riding performance feels the same and I get the same mileage out of both. The new S22 are supposed to be an overall improvement to the S21, I'm looking forward to trying them out. Bridgestones Spring $60 rebate is valid for a few more days. 2020-Bridgestone-Mar-Apr-Rebate-Info
  21. @texscottyd - That is the most bizarre wear pattern I have ever seen. It sure looks like you got good use out of them but I am surprised they wore out so quick, I thought the Road 5 was supposed to be the Holy Grail? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ The UPS guy was very nice to me yesterday, ๐Ÿ˜Ž my current tires are at the end of their life very soon, these should get me through the year. Sorry the photo is so small, something just changed on the forum and now it is only letting me attach postage stamp size thumbnails. Max total size 0.58MB
  22. From what I have seen, Yamaha levers usually fit many different bikes. Fitment: Yamaha YZF R1 R1M R1S 2015-2018 Yamaha YZF R6 2017-2018 Yamaha XSR700 ABS 2016-2018 Yamaha XSR900 ABS 2016-2018 Yamaha XV950 Racer 2016-2018 Yamaha FZ-07/MT-07 2014-2018 Yamaha FZ-09/MT-09 2014-2018 Yamaha FZ-10/MT-10 2016-2018 Yamaha FJ-09/MT-09 Tracer 2015-2018
  23. Regardless of the brand - Ohlins, Nitron, Penske, K-Tech, Wilbers etc. YES. it makes one hell of a noticeable difference! Suspension - in my opinion - is the best and most significant 'upgrade' you can make to any motorcycle.
