  1. OK, got it. I misunderstood. Yamaha made it difficult for us Americans giving the bike so many names in different parts of the world. It was the MT09 Tracer everywhere except the US where it was named FJ09, then they made both a MT and a Tracer model. 🤷‍♀️
  2. There shouldn't be any difference whatsoever in the slope between low and high position. When you move the seat height adapter plate from low to high position, the seat is just sitting on a different 'step' of that plate.
  3. So since you ordered for the MT09, the difference might be for the center stand. There are some exhausts made for the FZ/MT that do not fit the FJ/Tracer unless you remove the center stand.
  4. Did you contact the shop you bought it from about sending you the correct part that you ordered?
  5. I personally use a basic Garmin auto GPS. I have both a Nuvi and a Drive, both 5" models and less than $100. I don't recommend using anything in the 12v cigarette lighter plug long term, I have already replaced the socket and the 2nd one is now working intermittently as well. I have my GPS hardwired to one of the switched auxiliary power sockets behind the screen, it always turns on and off with the key.
  6. You will need something like this to mount them. Yamaha Turn Signal Adapters Spacers for Aftermarket Stalk Type Indicators Front or Rear Yamaha Turn Signal Adapters Spacers for Aftermarket Stalk Type...
  7. Agreed, I would never use it on wheels but I like all 3 colors in that example. I'm going to research powder coating colors and finishes for my wheels.
  8. @Touring EU on FJ - Mine is purely for asthetics, I wanted something silver to contrast the black. The lights are X-Arc turn signals, I have them installed front and rear. They are aluminum, nearly indestructible and arguably the brightest LED signals available. X-Arc Lights - the brightest LED Brake lights, turn signals, tail lights
  9. I really like the look of the true metallic colors. Lots of possibilities.👍
  10. Good job fabricating. I like a DIY solution. Keep us updated on how it works for you out on the road. I like the blue paint in the honeycomb 'intake' area, I covered mine with silver mesh.
  11. I think it might be riding technique as well, unless it is a very tight downhill hairpin type corner or a corner that has caught me by surprise, I set corner speed with the throttle and transmission, not the brakes. I roll off the throttle (think of a stereo volume knob, not a light switch) to set corner entrance speed and use steady throttle to the apex and roll on throttle through the exit.
  12. Idaho has a lot of amazing riding, I love passing through.
  13. I thought about that but wanted it to be 100% perfectly aligned. I ended giving them away on here where a machinist cut an alignment mark.
  14. @dpippin - These are much better than the stock axle blocks, the stock left block was prone to deforming where the flat axle end mates.
  15. Yep, I re-installed those and love them.👍
  16. I really like the idea of a bronze to match the engine bits. Unfortunately we don't have the bronze wheels here in the US but I have considered getting mine painted.
  17. Its definitely a high quality net and I love how versatile it is, and only $10.
  18. I bought a Power Tye 15"x15" cargo net and strap ring attachments. The hooks can be removed and located anywhere you see fit and they have a hook on the back for pulling slack on the net and attaching the excess. This will be perfect for storing my rain gear while on a road trip or lunch while on a day trip. 19. The GT is a great bike, very well equipped. First thing, buy a radiator guard, you don't want rocks to fling up and ruin your day. Other than that, if you have questions on upgrades and accessories, feel free to ask. BTW, the most sought after changes are windscreen and seat.
  20. Just a precaution, I bought a set of those for $25-$30, the center black part that slides to make the adjustment didn't have an index mark. There was absolutely nothing to align to the measurement lines and numbers, they were useless.
  21. I have one for my GT-Air but I haven't installed it. How is the clarity? I'm concerned that adding another layer to the screen will affect optical quality.
  22. I looked up Lightech chain adjusters for you and this was listed for fitment. This Product Fits: Yamaha FJ-09 2015, 2016, 2017 FZ-09 2014, 2015, 2016 Tracer 900 2019 Tracer 900 GT 2019, 2020 XSR900 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 The 2017 and up MT09 isn't listed because they use that funky rear mud guard
  23. I can't say I would personally be heartbroken if that were to happen, nothing that Suzuki has offered has ever caught my attention or even slightly made me interested. They are the only one of big 5 that I have never owned.
