  1. @Zach26 - The logo on the side of the bag looks like Cortech. Cortech Super 2.0 Tail Bag | 20% ($19.40) Off! The Super 2.0 Tailbag features ballistic polyester construction, a quick...
  2. Yeah, unfortunately the weather radar shows rain is in the forecast😒, too bad you guys couldn't have met on Thursday or Friday - Gorgeous weather.
  3. I think its funny when I get into a conversation with someone and I might mention I ride or talk about a road trip I took and they say "Oh you ride? what model of Harley do you have?"...πŸ™„
  4. No, actually it was 100% out of boredom and looking for something to tinker with. I took them off a few years ago and found them laying on a shelf in the garage and a light bulb went off - "hey, there's something that I can modify...why not?"πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
  5. You really took the more difficult route. I can understand if you were already taking those off for cleaning but removing the throttle bodies is way too much work and absolutely not necessary to install the lines.
  6. Today I used a Dremel tool to reshape and sand the sharp angles off the grab handles. Since I like a little color accent, I painted them silver. I like the contrast with the black seat and plastics.
  7. Too busy for my taste, I like simple and subtle color accents, the billboard sized lettering looks over the top and gaudy.
  8. Agreed, the Tracer has an upright riding position but that's where the 'adventure bike' comparisons stop. @JimV8 - Since you were asking about an adventure bike, I assume you will spending some amount of your riding off road. The Tracer just doesn't have the ground clearance, believe it or not it is within a few millimeters of both an R1 and a Goldwing! Relatively smooth forest roads at a moderate speed once in a while are one thing but if you are needing long travel suspension for rocks and holes then an actual adventure bike would be worth looking into. You are in an interesting dilemma since you will be riding from Canada to Mexico, so it has to be comfortable for the long haul yet still offroad worthy. Once you get to Mexico for the Winter, I am assuming that the bike will be your sole source of transportation?
  9. Just a thought - not that I am condoning spending more on your bike πŸ™„ (yeah, right) Have you looked into an "Active Tune"? It utilizes a high quality aftermarket O2 sensor and adjusts your fuel tables/AFR in real time. If you call 2WDW, ask to talk to Travis, extremely nice guy who loves to explain this (I believe he used to work at FTECU and helped develop the Active Tune) Since the original flash disables the O2 sensor, they have to re-flash to turn it back on. 10. "Really need" new lines? I would say absolutely not... just like you don't 'need' an ECU flash, exhaust, custom suspension, aftermarket seat, adjustable levers, cruise control, heated grips, carbon fiber or anodized aluminum bits that bring us pleasure and enjoyment and make the bike 'ours'. That's just my opinion, but then I love to tinker, modify and customize.
  11. The best answer is to contact them directly. They are very personable and helpful every time I have called with questions. 2 Wheel Dynoworks Email 2wheeldynoworks@gmail.com Phone (425) 269-5332 Business Hours Tuesday-Saturday: 10:00am to 6:00pm Sunday-Monday: Closed
  12. That is a good point. @dazzler24 - when using the 7 hose option with the mounting blocks, the blocks attach back to the bike in a fixed position where the 5 line kits that don't use the blocks can 'float' (for lack of a better term) and therefore end up slightly longer or shorter since they dont need to be screwed in place or could be routed slightly differently.
  13. I'm not sure what an ergal fitting is? As far as being good enough, a steel braided hydraulic line is rated to meet a specific psi, I'm sure even a generic hydraulic hose will meet or exceed the psi ratings. I would think the extra costs of some kits is custom hose colors and special anodized coloring on the fittings.
  14. Exactly, I have been staying at home for the same amount of time. We have been having some amazing weather lately and it is killing me to stay home.
  15. That is a sad thing to read, you must be chomping at the bit.😲
  16. Before you start the motor, clean any grease and fingerprints off the exhaust with alcohol.
  17. Correct, I did not need to remove the airbox. I would say to anyone considering this, it isn't by any means difficult but is is involved. The front and rear calipers and master cylinders all feed to the ABS pump, physically trace each line from point A to point B before you start so you are familiar with the routing because once you remove the old lines, you will be replacing the new lines using the same routing. It might look intimidating at first but if you are methodical and follow the correct routing, it isn't difficult.
  18. LOL, you just never stop do you? πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ Too bad you cant get your last new GT back, it was very nicely set up.
  19. @MemphisTracer - since you are on a roll outfitting your bike, these frame sliders double as highway pegs! πŸ‘ EXTENDED 2014 2015 2016 Yamaha FZ-09 FZ09 Frame Sliders FJ-09 2018 USA This set of sliders will fit on a 2014, 2015 or 2016 Yamaha FZ-09. Will also... "This is our EXTENDED version of these sliders. They are a full 1" longer than our standard version for even more protection for your bike. Each slider measures approximately 4" long, and 1-3/4" in diameter and the bolt is 10mm."
  20. I changed out my lines a few months ago and removed all of the front bodywork and tank to get access.
  21. No problems squeegeeing any air or soap bubbles out and it dried crystal clear?
  22. Mine has been on order for over 2 weeks now. I went with the recommendations here and ordered the nano-glass.
  23. @Bill H - Caps Lock πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
  24. It splices into the existing brake switch wiring, 2 leads. It doesn't have an activation point, it simply works. I'm not sure how or why the switch would ever leak but I suppose given enough time anything is possible?
