  1. @maximo - Glad you got it sorted out and are enjoying the bike even more now. 👍
  2. I weigh 230# and use either .95 or 1.0kg/mm fork springs (can't remember, its been 3 years) but I am using modified fork cartridges. Both legs have custom built rebound and compression circuits and adjustability. I have mine setup just soft enough to be comfortable yet taught enough to maintain composure and hold a line in the fast corners. Maybe somewhere between an FJR and an R1 if that makes sense.
  3. And while you are at it, get the correct springs for your weight. It makes a huge difference in the feel of the ride.
  4. I sure do like the Speed Triple RS. The Crystal White with red accents looks sharp... I just wish they would redesign the headlights.
  5. @dazzler24 I have tried several 'cheaper' LED turn signals over the years and have been disappointed with all of them, the saying 'you get what you pay for' certainly holds true. If you want BRIGHT, compact and indestructible, there is only one - X-Arc. X-Arc Lights - the brightest LED Brake lights, turn signals, tail lights
  6. I think someone did a decibel test and found it wasn't much louder on a decibel scale but was much lower in tone. Its plenty loud without being an air horn, like I said previously, the tone now sounds like a car horn.
  7. Yes, blade style connectors and it truly is plug and play. The horn might not be much louder but it is much less high pitched, more like a car horn.
  8. I believe that the only change Yamaha made was to separate rebound and compression adjustment between the left and right fork leg. The fork o.d. and length should be identical.
  9. Regardless of the source or amount spent, nothing beats adjustable levers. They are a 'must-have' item on any bike I own.
  10. Yamaha OEM Parts Buy Discount Yamaha Motorcycle Parts,Yamaha ATV Parts,Yamaha Rhino...
  11. Glad to hear that you are finally at a workable starting point. Let the tweaking begin.😎👍
  12. Yes, I removed everything down to the airbox for easier access.
  13. Scott, as long as the lines are labeled it should be pretty easy even w/o instructions, one end of each line goes to the pump and the other goes to either MC or caliper, the 5th line is just a cross over for the front calipers. Long lines are front, short lines are rear.
  14. It might sound silly but you are checking for headlight operation while the engine is running, correct ? Its happened before. If you turn on the key without starting the engine, do you have running lights?
  15. That is what I am asking. Do you know of any products that actually work? With as many anti-glare films on the market, there as many product reviews that claim that they don't actually work.
  16. @jdavis - I have a 2" and 3" ram mount arm, currently using the 2" arm and just angled it as upright as possible, I will play around with the 3" arm and see if can get any more angle. Thanks for the suggestion.
  17. Does anyone have a solution for glare on a GPS screen? I finally created a mount that works to put the GPS above the screen but the sun glare kills the effectiveness. Any solutions?
  18. If the clutch was working correctly before replacing the levers then it has to be an adjustment issue. The only adjustment you need to make to replace the clutch lever is backing out the adjuster at the lever to get enough slack to remove the lever from the perch. There shouldn't have been any adjustments done to the bottom of the cable or the actuator arm.
  19. @foxtrot722 - I use the exact same method as the first 2 photos. I have ridden many 500+ mile days while on road trips and being able to have foot placement options is a life saver for my old, damaged knees. About a year ago I found a guy on eBay who makes standard and wide sliders, (contact him and ask for the wide) the wide version is almost an inch wider. 2014 2015 2016 Yamaha FZ-09 FZ09 Frame Sliders 2015 2018 FJ-09 USA This set of sliders will fit on a 2014, 2015 or 2016 Yamaha FZ-09. Will also...
  20. Yes. Put the bike on the side stand so that you can move the centerstand up and down as you need while removing the oem pipe.
  21. Last year a buddy and I had to ride across the desolate wasteland of Nevada to get to Utah, I had the CC set at 90mph for hours at a time.
  22. You just never know who (or what) you will encounter out on the road. 😎
