  1. I have put TCS thru it's paces, it works really well๐Ÿ˜ต.. Did you know 2WDW has multiple tuning software options ๐Ÿ˜... I highly recommend Woolich Racing software and the Race Kit add-on...
  2. You would have gotten a letter in the mail if your bike was effected... The studs didn't have loctite applied when pressed in, that was the problem...
  3. TCS needs to be "off"= you will see it lit up... Otherwise the front wheel only goes 2 beer cans high... Press and hold down the TCS button to toggle "on/off"... Bike must be completely stopped for it to "toggle"...
  4. I would test ride both the MT-07 and Tracer900... My reason is the MT-07 has no "electronic throttle"- just a good ole cable system all the way to the throttle bodies... The Tracer900 has an "electronic throttle"- has a very small cable system leading to an electronic motor that opens/close the throttle bodies and very quick to react to stuble wrist movements... Also both bikes have two very different engine sensations/ power delivery... The MT-07- tractor like torque feeling in all gears(low to mid range power)...Tracer900- caged cheetah always ready to run( low mid-range to redline power)...
  5. the plug is buried... no pictures but you should find the right one...
  6. A MT-07 might be a better choice for a "small island" by my standards... The biggest advantage the Tracer900 has over the MT-09 is top speed when above 100mph+ both are darn near equal in the 1/8th mile with Tracer 900 getting the advantage after the 1/8th mile... MT-07 also gets slightly better MPG... If your doing 2up alot, the Tracer 900 is the better choice... From my personal experiences owning both bikes....
  7. Graves Exhaust- the lightest exhaust on the market I know of... A 12oz can of pop/soda pop is heavier than the headers and midpipe combined ๐Ÿคฉ
  8. Not gonna melt... It helps keeps dirt and what not out from getting trapped inside the "end cap" and rattling around inside... You can keep it or toss it...
  9. Unplug it... Follow the wires from the QS unit on the shift rod...
  10. 3k miles or sooner if shifting is getting "clunky"... It's a personal preference...
  11. @wordsmith ๏ปฟ๏ปฟthey are found in 2 sizes .. 30 cal and .50 cal plastic ammo box sizes 30 cal plastic ammo box size: 11-1/2" (L)x 5-1/8"(W) x 7"(H) 50 cal plastic ammo box size: 13-3/4"(L) x 7"(W) x 9-7/16"(H)
  12. @wordsmith... The ammo boxes are your generic plastic ammo boxes... "Harbor Freight" is like the Walmart of tools/drills/Sanders/etc in the US... They are cheap to expensive... Good ones are fairly airtight/water tight for long term use/storage of ammo... Can be found in many sizes/colors... Can be used for many other purposes.. I have a few set up with tools for certain bikes/projects/ fireworks storage... Edit: I have seen over the years people also use plastic handgun cases for a "top case" or as saddle bags...
  13. You might find another blank canvas with the T7 when it comes out now that I think about it a bit more... The T7 frame/suspension from my research online over the years, is that the T7 is a very close copy of a 2008 WR450F... Which makes sense to me to use an off road frame for the T7 vs using the frame off the FZ-07...
  14. IIRC over the years R6 front end is what the flat trackers are using on an FZ-07... And use some dirt bike rear plastics for the subframe... A quick Google search of FZ-07 flat track shows a bit of ideas...
  15. The FJ+09 batteries is stock OEM one that came with the bike 3yrs ago... im Gonna let the bike sit for a few more days then fire it up again just to see if the battery still holds a charge...
  16. It's a good "blank canvas" to work with... Bottom line is a Hordpower Airbox w/tune(ECU or piggy back control) with exhaust with give you the power the CP2 motor should have came from the factory, it's good never ending tractor like torque from idle... It's a fairly light bike @380ish pounds after I stripped it down... the FZ-07 is just a slight slight bit slower in the 1/8mile vs the FJ-09 then the FJ-09 just rockets ahead... The body work on the FZ-07 is like 6pcs vs the 20pcs on the FJ-09... thr FZ-07 has crappy stock( front forks need decent cartridges/springs and rear shock needs to be Ktech razorR- lots of track guys running this combo) suspension that makes the FJ-09 suspension feel like decent ...the Seating/riding position on the FZ-07 is very dirt bike like... I love both bikes but the FJ-09 gets the advantage... any questions feel free to ask... I dunno what type of answer you was looking for ... Lots of custom builds on the FZ/MT-07 forum... After summer is over I will be selling my HP-07(FZ-07) for helleva deal (hsac dnasuoht owt) ...
  17. Since it's spring time but not quite yet here in Michigan I popped both my FJ-09 and HP-07( FZ-07 w/Hordpower airbox ๐Ÿ˜) on the battery charger for a few hours and they both fired up fairly quickly, maybe 2 extra turns than normal after a long deep cold winter... I miss the sound of the CP3 screaming it's heavenly notes thru the Graves Exhaust system ๐Ÿ˜
  18. All 2018+ Tracer 900GT should be named Tracer 900 FRD ... "FRD"= forum research and development because we know Yamaha took notes on what people say/want ๐Ÿ˜†
  19. I'm an odd ball...even tho I'm 6'1" I don't use a windscreen till it gets cold out i will pop the OEM one(even then it's only like maybe 2wks of riding till ice hits I'm using it)... Much smoother air flow and I like the feel the inputs of the winds force/direction to tell me speed or such... It's a naked(ish) bike compared to a full bubble touring machine, is what I tell myself...
  20. In the end... Your only missing out on a color dash and 2 more modes of TC for an extra $4-5k before you even start farkling the GT to your taste... Slipper clutch can be retrofit... upgraded OEM suspension on GT (I don't believe it one bit) ... You may dislike the GT bags and opt for different ones...
  21. Placed my order... A red tee with orginal logo and outline on back... And a purple hoodie with the original logo is the coolest one ๐Ÿ˜
  22. I want clear plastics- it's cool to see all of the insides...even the gas tank... It's a "naked bike" so why not show the bike in an actual "naked" state...
