  1. Loose handguards, front sprocket is a major source of vibration ( I changed to a plain Jane one)
  2. Yes 6 lines showing... Low speed ( under 25mph) use the rear brake more than the front brake... yes I use the front brake to help provide most of the stopping power w/rear brake from speed till under 25mph, then I stop using the front brake and use the rear brake... This frees up your throttle hand at low speeds to provide throttle inputs...
  3. Winter= perfect time to do upgrades/repairs without any downtime from riding... I have lived in California and Michigan for a good chunk of my life and Michigan pretty much has it all from were I live... Fishing, hunting, outdoor stuff to do year round... Awesome racing facilities from dirt bike to road courses... Traffic is a breeze to compared to California...
  4. Clutch is known to be a bit chattery in N till the clutch is pulled in... Wear and tear- it normal as the basket fingers get grooved...
  5. Try these settings...I'm 180# suited up...the settings are near bottom of page... My forks are raised approx 12mm R6shifter Blog : YAMAHA MT09 Tracer (Tracer900) - Fun Factor vs Rider Customization ...
  6. Not a death wobble by any means... Yamaha has a slight rear weight bias on it's motorcycles which leads to a "slightly light feeling" at the front end at triple digit speeds and it's nimbleness... This feeling can be amplified if one rides with death grip on the handle bars, some believe it's the handguards... Can be solved by raising the forks approx 10-15mm above triple tree...
  7. Plain Jane sprocket... That rubber ring causes an odd clunky vibration since it does not allow the chain to ride on it's inner rollers over the sprocket but rather the front half of the outside links...
  8. For that weight- suspension upgrade is needed(cheap solution is fork springs and oil and a decent aftermarket rear shock or a basic fork kit from like Stolec and a decent aftermarket rear shock)... It's barely enough for my 180# geared up weight...
  9. No...only the drive mode can be set with tuning software... It's becomes second nature for me to spend 2secs pushing the TCS to turn it off as I put on my helmet/gloves..
  10. I agree, more photos are needed... It could made multiple ways... I really like what HIGDONION did for a rear sub frame cage on the MT-07 minus the passenger pegs...
  11. In the US it was FJ-09 till 2017...2018 it was Tracer900/GT The FZ-09 was in the US till 2017 ...in 2018 it was the MT-09
  12. They look to be mounted off the pass foot peg mount... I wouldn't call em crash bars but more like knock/tip over bars to protect the rear bags when it's parked... I do like the sleek passenger seat cover/cowl/box?...
  13. I really don't believe Yamahas "published" weight specs, they seem to be an average of other "published" specs from magazines, etc... Sometimes it seems the weight also includes loaded max(ish) weight in sidebags if they are included from the factory to hit 499#??
  14. Welcome from the forum... Nice to see another MI rider... OEM suspension is MEH if one is over the #150-70 range... It could be better but it's far better than stock FZ-07 suspension 😅 R6shifter Blog : YAMAHA MT09 Tracer (Tracer900) - Fun Factor vs Rider Customization ... I used these settings and put the forks approx 12mm above triple tree... I am approx #170-75 suited up...
  15. Cheap no cost solution- remove the stock screen and enjoy the fresh air-many of us go to this route till the temps dip below 45°F ... no turbulence or loud wind noise... As for a windscreen that works- too many variables to find one that works... Some people are sensitive turbulence, or don't care about turbulence but are sensitive to noise... Helmet plays a factor...
  16. Yes it can be done but not worth the $/hassle in my opinion - decent aftermarket suspension and or moving the forks approx 10-15 above the triple tree( this reduces the "light" feeling at triple digit speeds)...
  17. Makes sense- they already got the FJ-09 police bikes( got the extra length on swingarm)....
  18. Welcome @pgeldz... Nice to see that your loving the bike even after you have spent time on a built FZ-07R... Do you find that the FZ-07 and Tracer900 compliment each other?
  19. It's just an optional purchase and or service they provide... But yeah, nothing special, just a cosmetic look...
  20. That blue/golden hue is the " WORKS FINISH" ...
  21. @fddriver2, @Buggy Nate, @koth442 I do recall some odd behavior I now chalk it up to the kinked breather hose... * Didn't fire up as nicely before when cold, but when hot it fired up pretty close to before * Didn't hear the "airbox whine" but really noticed after unkinking the breather hose * Idle(when warmed up) felt like the bike had a little extra "thump" in it's thump *Heavier engine vibrations on clutch side- could have put my foot to sleep in time .
  22. To me when TCS kicks in on a straight(ish) line it feels like you ran over a strip of wet freshly painted line... When kinda leaned over ( stock suspension/stock tires in my case) it feels like you hit the "feedback warning" zone on the far edge before you go to far on your rear tire but your still a good inch from the edge of tire... It kinda annoys me a tiny tiny bit ( I'm riding the electronics not the old mechanical feeling of a bike) but experience tells me keep steady throttle and gently ride it out... I have had TCS kick in drag racing when using the launch Control, the front end comes up too high and the power( RPMs are 8k+) cuts in/out like a pretty fancy anti-turbo lag system it feels like...

  24. And as an unexpected bonus, it lubed my swingarm, dog bone, brake pedal lever and center stand spring 😁...not that it was needed
