Mine is 1-2 mph off from the GPS. 2015, red the fast 1 of course, LOL! Says 1-2 mph faster than actual.

I put mine facing forward to blow towards what is in front of me. A flat piece of metal from twisted throttle is what I used but I bought the horn at the same time. Anyway I screwed a bolt into the bottom of the triple tree and the bar is about 3 inches long by a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch wide. Here's a pic, tried to edit it, crop it. Did that, blew it up real nice, saved it to my desktop and when I go to put it on here or open it, it is back to the original size. ANYWAY!!!! Mine is in the center right from the front of the bike and mounted under the triple tree. Oh yeah that sucker is loud! I've had dogs roll in the street. They are coming out to chase me, get close and I hit the horn. They act like the horn hit them and made them roll a couple of 360s and back on their feet running away squalling, LOL!

Yeah I go by the 5 year rule. After 5 years it's over. Styrofoam is decenter grating as well as other things ageing. Unless it gets 1 good hit. That's the other thing that ends a helmets life. I usually want a change by 5 years anyway. I'm sporting a Isle of Mann Bell Full face now.

Ah, Ha, Ha, Ha! I don't ride in temperatures below my age. I'm 61 almost 62. So I don't ride in temps under 62 now. Good thing about this is we were in The Hill Country of Texas last week and weekend. Friday they said it would be 97. At 1 point in the afternoon it was 104 on my thermometer. Yeah it was hot but I can stand the heat much better than the cold. That was with Mesh Riding pants and jacket along with leather gloves and tourmaster riding boots, waterproof. It's a dry heat as they say. I do like the heated grips on these. I took off my hand guards.

Yeah if you ride your bike with the bags off all the time a tail tidy is nice. I ride with my bags on almost all the time. I have a rain suit, Rev-it H2O Gloves and a tool roll. Plus I can put groceries or other things I decide to pick up when I'm out and the thought hits me. Only thing is with the tail Tidy. You can't see the blinkers or brake light from the side. The bags block it. As usual YMMV.

I put the Sargent seat on mine and it's great for me. Just enough slip and slide to get through the corners. The "stock" seat cover for the Sargent looks like the carbon on the sides of the FJ. I wear textile pants and they have a sticky patch where you set. Plus they put a cut out in the center of the seat just where the jewels set. Like the extra room. Being an old man they aren't what they used to be, LOL!

IKR? I LOVE the Turono but living in Louisiana, being 200 miles or so from a dealer I'll stick to the Jap Bike. The V4 has all the power you could ever need and weighs about the same as an FJ-09. Really tempting but couldn't pull the trigger. Could have gotten 1, low miles for about the same price as my used FJ. Just couldn't pull the trigger. Maybe if I trailered to all the meets every year, maybe. But I bought the FJ to RIDE to every event except NC at 850 miles away, freeway miles that is. I do The Hill County at 450 miles each way and Arkansas at 325 miles each way. The Turono does have handle bars though. The GSXR doesn't. Can't ride it that far at this age. Still looking for that 16 year old kid that wants all my crap and that big ole 401K for that kid body. Hell I'll even give him all my experience, LOL!

Yes it is nice to come out of the corners and blip the throttle and be doing 150 mph. Getting into my 60s now. I have to chill. I keep telling myself you have to chill. Got rid of the ZX11 Ninja and my 2000 ZRX1100 to get my 2015 FJ-09. I have friends of mine riding a few weeks ago. That is a beautiful bike! It would ruin my ideas of becoming a mid-pack rider instead of an up front rider. All that aside, have fun on that thing!!!!!

Yeah I wonder where they find these 2nd rate tires from a major manufacturer. Why can't they put on the RoadSmart III or RoadSmart 4s? Are these tires the companies make for the bike itself? Anytime OEM tires are on something they seem to be tires you won't find for sale or them promoting. One of the only tires I see them promoting is the Bridgestone S22s stock on the Kawasaki Ninja 1000s. I'm actually trying a set. Just ordered from rockymountainatv.com with a $50 dollar VISA attached. Still though wondering why Dunlop would make a tire so bad when they have good tires they could promote.

No just go out for a short ride if possible. This will warm the chain. Pull up at the house and put bike on center stand. Turn the rear tire "BY HAND"! and spray on your chain lube. Let the bike sit a few hours or until the next time you're ready to ride. Check the chain to see if you need a rag to wipe off the excess chain lube. Now adjust your chain while it's nice and pliable so you get a good gauge of the tightness. A little rust on the chain happens if a bike sits up for a while, out in the weather or ridden for a bit without lubing it. It's not the death nail for a little rust. It's ok.

This usually But I have used this when it's on sale at Advance Auto for less than the original. Both are just fine on the finish. I spray the engine under the front sprocket to clean the chain lube that runs down the lower engine. It works great and leave residue or any discoloration of the plastic or metal painted with the flat look. I also use Turtle Wax ICE on all the surfaces of the bike. Works well on flat and rubber, etc. Makes my rubber surrounds of my 1999 Toyota Tacoma rubber bumpers look like new and the flat black factory fender extenders look like new also. No white left on it like regular wax. A little expensive but comes off easy and doesn't make a mess or white powder.

Still using GUNK on my 2015. Works like a charm, doesn't hurt the finish and cleans the chain lube off the rear rim nicely. I make sure none gets on the brake pads or rotor or chain. Use kerosene and chain scrubber while the GUNK works in then I'm old school with DAWN dish soap and a sponge. Used to clean my bike while on trips each evening I was so anal. Now it's clean when I leave and I clean it good after a trip. As texscottyd knows living in Texas or Louisiana we get a good coating of bugs almost every time you ride. I wet the front of the bike a couple of times and let it sit for a few minutes each time to get the bugs soft. I'm down south so we wash or vehicles in the shade also. Have to dry everything after washing with well water. Lots of minerals to make white spots. Still looks good at 6 years old and 16,000+ miles. Oh yeah, I bought it 40 months ago with only 2,348 miles as I remember. I ride about 5,000 miles a year on it.
