  1. Apparently I only remember to take pictures when I get home, Just over 800 miles in a month and a half of ownership. Temps have been in the 40-50's, that's in freedom units, I can't wait to turn off the heated grips. The little one getting a little throttle happy.
  2. More fun. I was putzing around the neighborhood when I kept hearing some squeaking, faint but annoying. Its the damn plastic paddle they half assed on the lever as an afterthought that rubs on the micro switch. I greased the piss out of it, still squeaks, just not as bad. Video post grease:
  3. Quad lock and Ram Mounts X grip are pretty much the gold standards.
  4. Almost pulled the trigger on the sand as well but then i saw these pop up, might check em out. Klim Baja S4 Gloves ...
  5. lol have you thought about risers yet for the handlebars?
  6. That's a drag, our state explicitly says it's legal! Now if only they could get the unemployment figured out.
  7. I added one of the usb volt meter thingies from Amazon that everyone adds to the blank 12v port. I dropped one of those plastic clips into the frame somewhere, gone forever. On the plus side turned over 500 miles today, still pretty sparkly in the oil.
  8. I tried to get a test drive on one of these, no dealership within 300 miles would let me, not even the piss yellow one. End of the day it came down to parts and third party support. Besides I already own one used bmw and thats enough risk for me.
  9. if you find a solid supplier let me know, in my generous free time ive yet to find anything state side. webike has them but 1/3 the cost is shipping.
  10. I received this as a gift from my uncle after overhearing my issues about my sausage fingers and the clutch engagement point. The part number is CRF340-G, the -G only denotes the color. (part number is for a 2020 tracer gt 900, anything else, you're on your own) Fit and finish is nice, the gold matches the fork tubes perfectly. Easy to install, just pop the mirror and bark buster, then remove the pivot bolt. Really helps with the reach for us with mechanics hands, why they chose to have adjustable levers on only the brake is beyond me. Only 2 little things to note, and this is in regard to the micro switch and the paddle on the lever that engages it. The micro switch has two positions, first click is to disengage the cruise control, this is very shallow ~10 mm of clutch pull. The second click is to enable starting in gear, much deeper pull at ~40-50mm of travel. The issue is you can't dial the adjustment all the way in to allow a very short throw and still hit the second click on the micro switch before the lever hits the handle. I assume this will be pretty much the same for any adjustable lever dialed back. Then again, probably isn't a good idea to have that short of travel with the clutch anyhow. Second, the paddle on the lever is plastic, looks like an afterthought. While it is very secure with 2 through hole screws, for such a premium product I would have expected this to be cast along with the lever. Bottom line: Would I buy it myself? F no. Too many people doing it way cheaper. Will I get suckered into buying the matching brake lever? Probably, once the world start rotating the right direction again, my brain won't let me have mismatched levers. ~$90 + shipping USD. https://asvinventions.com/f3-series-sport-clutch-lever-crf340/ This review brought to you by unemployment and boredom.
  11. Wow that's a nice bit of kit! Whats that convert to ~250 USD?
  12. Too much shill and not enough substance, feels like standard PR publicity stunt.
  13. Ave VINwiki (any video with Rabbit is awesome) Deboss Garage South Main Auto Repair
  14. Just crack it slightly, you only need to rotate the hose. Any air you introduce albeit unlikely, would just bubble up into the reservoir.
  15. Has anyone looked into tilting the dash up just a tad? Not that it's that big of deal but I sure would like to get a few more degrees up on the screen for my eyeballs/reflection. My white textile jacket perfectly aligns with the dash. From the parts diagram, it looks like it's simply rubber mounted on the dash itself, maybe I can toss a few warshers in there to bring the bottom up a touch.
  16. Rear wheel turns fast enough for me in neutral 🤷‍♂️
  17. Well I'm going to wrap this up after doing a bench test, long story short, confirmed my findings: 1. The running light is brighter than OEM. 2. The solid brake light has similar light output but it is focused to a smaller area than OEM. 3. The strobes, when flashing are twice as bright at OEM, again but more focused. So in conclusion, the only real downside is when you are on your brakes and the light is not strobing, there is a smaller field of view for the light. So I set the light to strobe 10 times, then solid. I would love to set to constant strobe, but that might draw unneeded attention from local leo's. I didn't run into any fitment issues or wire problems. If I had to do it again, I would probably invest in some nice turn signals that have running light capabilities and buy a brake light modulator instead.
  18. Yeah just touch the loose wire to ground for on, float (not connected to anything) for off. There you made a switch!
  19. Funny enough they just reached out to me today about the brightness issue. They think something ain't right. I'll be setting it up on the bench for a solid A/B comparison.
