  1. I have a pair of the Pyramid Plastics ones in a box somewhere. I didn't like how they mounted inside the existing guards. They take up too much room, my knuckles were bumping into them. How do the Givis mount?
  2. You hit most of the highlights! Oregon is an amazing state for motorcyclists.
  3. At first I thought that shadow was a fishing rod strapped to your seat πŸ˜‰
  4. Replacing the cig socket with one of these dual USB/voltmeter doohickeys is on my winter to do list.
  5. "They all do that." Really though, unless there's a leak I wouldn't give it a second thought.
  6. It is more vibey than the 800 - Triumph had to go and give it "character."
  7. I loved my Tiger 800, in hindsight I never should have sold it. Enjoy your new bike!
  8. ^^^ Nice. Speaking of which, does anyone have any idea why Yamaha chose to rivet one of the pegs on?
  9. If you do get a test ride, put your feet down when you stop or you'll owe the dealer some money. The Niken doesn't stand up on its own like the Piaggio three wheel scooters do, for instance.
  10. In my experience TPMS just leak more air than without so you're topping up more often. The schrader valve is pretty dialed in technology and very rarely fails.
  11. I think Madstad has been pretty swamped with their secondary business selling COVID guards to businesses so I'm willing to cut them some slack at the moment.
  12. I'm 5'10" and use the 22". You'll love it.
  13. I just can't bring myself to potentially trust my life to a $4.50 peg from China made from melted down who-knows-what.
  14. Apart from the incorrectly assembled bracket, all that sounds like user error to me.
  15. Hanging lights from those holes in the plastic sounds like a recipe for disaster to me....
  16. I put a Cool Cover on the stock seat and am surprised what a difference it makes comfort-wise. Worth a shot for not much money.
  17. I never seen them mentioned around here but I'll throw a vote out for the Continental Road Attack 3. I've had them on two different bikes now and love them.
  18. Take a look at Madstad. It's offered in several different sizes, and I bet they'd be happy to cut on in a custom height for you too.
  19. It does look like it goes a bit lower and quite a lot higher than the stock manual adjuster, so there’s that.
  20. I have the same set up but with the RAM Garmin cradle. Works great!
  21. My feeling is Yamaha wouldn't offer a radiator guard as an official accessory if overheating was a potential problem.
