Are people happy w AKRO full exhaust?
Buggy Nate replied to mikerbiker's topic in Tracer 900 GT Discussions
I love mine, but quiet, but 3x 10mm holes in the side of the baffle tubes makes a nice noise. -
Best thing to do here to confirm spacer placement is to pull the caliper and pads off the bracket. The disc should be centred in the caliper bracket. If not spacers are in the wrong side. You didn’t misplace the spacer under the sprocket hub did you?

What did you do to your FJ-tracer-gt today?
Buggy Nate replied to yamaham's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
About 10-20mm further back and 10mm lower, but the way the plates are set up means you can potentially make some intermediate brackets to put them where you want. -

Yep. Stock plugs are way better than iridium. -

I fit up some Chinese rear sets to get a little more leg room. Bolts are typical cheesium but the alloy cnc bits are nice. -
Have you thought about the Xsr7/900’s wordy?

Extending the shock puts more weight on the front end and gets rid of the twitchy feeling, if your nitron isn't a night day difference there is something wrong. Mine was the opposite, all the benfit came from the rear. The front was only a marginal improvement. -

I bought a set of chinesuim adjustable rear sets to try and get a little more leg room. I have extended the rear nitron shock and have the forks pushed through flush so I have a little lee way to drop them down. Hopefully the metalurgy is ok on them when they turn up. I'll be greasing the swingarm and linkage bearing whilst i'm in there. I may even service the nitron rear shock as I have had it on there a while now. -
Random...but is this a Canadian thing?

I always go out of my way to give those riders a really over the top wave to make them feel nice and uncomfortable. Amuses me no end! I nod to everyone except those road ibis Uber eats people. They are bloody dangerous. -
How much brake fluid required when changing lines?

Polarity doesn’t matter, and for what it is worth, every brake switch I have seen is normally open.- 89 replies

As soon as the abs light goes out, you need to be going about 16km/h. Don’t overthink it mate. That’s the bikes job! 👍- 89 replies

Wet grass it pretty easy and safe, feet out if you have locked the front up on a bike before. The rear is easy as to activate.- 89 replies

Yep activate the abs a couple of times and rebleed if necessary. They are a pretty bulletproof system.- 89 replies

That’s new for them, never used to be like that and it shit me to tears. I hated fitting lines that didn’t line up properly. Ruins a good install. Let us know how you go mate.- 89 replies

Air box and throttle bodies to make it easier, I took the opportunity to clean the throttle bodies and it made a good bit of difference to the smoothness. Mine were bought from the UK on eBay before our dollar went to shite. So might want to check it out. I think it was between 350-400 delivered with a longer line for my bar risers.

Took it out for some well needed legs stretching on the weekend. I got a little jealous of the riding buddies exhaust notes. I modified the baffle on my Akra Ti system, after having it on the bike for over 35,000km's I got sick of the muted tone. Not sick enough to run it with the baffle out though, a bit too obnoxious for my taste. I drilled one 10mm hole in each of the small pipes between the mounting plate and the small separator disc. Made a nice difference, a little deeper without being obnoxious. I'll ride it to work on Monday in anger and see how it sounds. -
I’ve been the same for the last couple of bikes actually. So I don’t think it is a bike set up thing. I do try to ride smoothly these days.

Generally wear like that is associated with the chamber of the road, unless you haven’t been keeping on top of your tyre pressures. FWIW I am harder on front tyres than rears. I must push the front a bit more. I always replace them as a set.

What rock have you been under? 😆 I did mine bout three years ago with a Venhill/Magura kit. So much nicer than a crappy cable. -

It was a while ago but I think it was the xb9r. The first model. Don’t know how easy they are to get parts for though.
